Hello. First off I want to say that I am pretty new to the forums. That said, I came across an article for an attraction that was going to be built in MGM befor they got they idea for ToT. It was some sort of horror attraction staring Mel Brooks . I put a link below if you would like to see it. I would like to know what everyone thinks about it. Thanks.

Michael Eisner's original plans for the Tower of Terro was for it to be an actual hotel that guests stayed at, but was haunted. The idea was nixed as it would be too frightening for guests and probably not generate enough revenue to justify it's existence

I love Mel Brooks (old Mel anyways) but I agree. I don't think it would have been as re-rideable (is that a word?) as the current version.
I remember the real hotel idea as well. While I don't think this would have worked very well, I would like to see Disney take a stab at a really heavily themed hotel. Like the Disney Hotel in Paris or the Miracosta at Disney Seas but even more of an experience. I just don't want a place to sleep. I want a continuation of the "magic".
Sorry. Got off topic there.

That's really interesting! Thanks for the info.!
It sounds like a cute ride with a lot of possibilities, but I like the ToT alot. And it's a ride that I can ride over and over again.

That probably wouldn't have been better than ToT but that would have still been a great ride. Mel Brooks is a comic genious.

Wow, 2 Big, Funny, AA Full Dark Rides (great muppets ride, mel hotel) That Don't Seem To Have A Good Repeat Value Rejected From The Same Park! Any Way, This Sounds Like A Funny Ride! I Got Many Of Mel's Movies And A Big Fan.. Too Bad For Budgets, Eh?

Sounds very Interesting. It sounds like it would be a very good idea. Mel Brooks is a real funny guy, and that showed throught the gags in the article. ToT is great and i am glad it is here. And About The Producers: I saw the show in Orlando (it was there recentely) and it was hillarious and up to Disney Quality, although some of the jokes were "R" rated, not for Disney. A ride would be funny, especally through Little old lady land, or even the "Springtime for Hitler in Germany" scene (see the show to know why!) lol  MGM is really the park for it. Thanks for the Link. That's also a great ToT site in general.

That would have been awsome! Mel Brooks is a comedic genious, and if Disney helped make this attraction there's no telling how funny it would be. Although I would rather see a Spaceballs ride.
