OOO! I never dreamed of this many helpers! But GREAT!!! YAY! lol. Welcome New2WDW! ImaginEAR...good job! That looks good for a standard room! Now, we can do some more layouts, then get to the detailed concept art. SIR90210, right now I mainly need some logo ideas for the hotel, stores, restaurants, and food courts. If anyone wants to do models, it is still open! (again, I can do it if no one else would like to).

I don't want to seem like I'm pushing all of these jobs off on someone else...I'm trying not to! I'm doing as much as I can around here, though some of it doesn't deal with the hotel directly but it deals with future projects that include the hotel. (I will reveal them at a later time)

New2WDW, I honestly am considering this a reality. Some people would laugh at me uncontrolably if they found out that I really planned to go through with this. I realize that it won't happen immediatly or probably not even within the next 5 years, but the more prep time we get, the more revision time and add-on time we have!

You'd think we'd.... hehe... laugh at this.... HAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAAAHA!

jk...

Sure. I'll try to make more layouts, like the lobby, restaurants, pools, suites, you name it. I just can't right now because I'm supposed to be doing a school project, which is SO BORING (graph with they differences between the Arctic and the Antarctic... snore)

You made THAT in Paint? WOW...you've got to be kidding! That's AWESOME for Paint!

New2WDW, would you be able to make actual architectural layouts/blueprints and elavations?

I will see what I can do for you, but currently I am bogged down with a couple of projects. I saw your initial site plan and comments on the lobby. Do you have any info or pictures that show what you are thinking of? I know you mentioned the Wilderness Lodge - never been there but I will look up some photos online.

You have a lot of spunk as far as this design stuff goes. Do you already have an outlook on college/career?

I saw you ask ImaginEAR what type of software he was using, what type do you have access to? Another question, I do not know if I can post anything on this site, I am in on the freeby card? I have a long day tomorrow, but I will continue to check in with you guys!

New2WDW, I plan to be an Imagineer for Disney, an Architect on my own, someone in a big theme park DESIGN business, or something to do with Theatre and Drama. The only programs (architectural) that I have are The SIMS 2 and Punch! 5 in 1 Home Design. The Punch program is supposed to be really good but in my opinion it SUCKS! Hm...you're right about posting. You won't be able to... Hm... I can set us all up an account on a free photo server or something and PM you all the password and username then we can each post our stuff on there! Would that work?

ImaginEAR...you are great with Paint! I would love to see what you could do with PhotoShop if you had the chance! lol. I have Photoshop! HAHAHA! *rubs it in his face* lol. jk ;)

*pushes away the photoshop* Yes. I NEED PhotoShop...

I'm finished with the one bedroom. I just need to upload it to whatever... I don't love it, but it's pretty okay IMO. I had lots of space to work with, and it can be edited if needed.

I have never used SIMS and I have not heard of Punch, but there is a small program (about $500) that is available for a free trail download which is very neat to work with and if you can use Adobe, Paint, etc. you can do this. It is called SketchUp ay www.sketchup.com. I have other programs that I use but this is a neat toy. Try looking over the site and tutorials first before you use it because you only get so many hours worth of a trial. I am going to try and post an image on that site of yours for a test, thanks for the link!

Just posted an image on that site, it work alright. I am on dialup:mad: at home and it is slow and tempermental. Anyway, do you have a layout (sketch) of where you want the lobby, restaurants, etc. (I read the earlier posts but was not sure the exact locations) Where is the main entrance again?

Yep. I've used The Sims 2 too. I lurve the Sims. I'm currently working on my crown jewel of buildings- Sleeping Beauty Castle. I want University, because it comes with a cheat that allows you to build as high as you want.

$500 BUCKS? AHHH!!! lol. I can't afford that right now! I have to save money for my trip to Disney in 2 weeks!! I'm SOOO excited! YAY! lol. I will make a layout really quick and post it on the site...I'll put a link in here to it also.

Just incase I havn't said this already, I want to thank you all for all the effort you sound like you will be putting in to this! It means a lot to me! :D

Okay...here is the new layout. The layout doesn't show what levels the restaurants will be on though. So here's that part of it:
William Clark's (food courts): 1st level but also cuts into the 2nd. (two story cieling)
Columbia Basin Ranch: 3rd level
Goldenrod Grille: 4th level (has no cieling separating from 4th level and the under side of the roof. Skylights pour light and natural beauty into this restaurant)

Student Perk!

WannaBe Walt - You can go to the site for Sketchup and download the FREE trial version if you want. (Only 8 hrs worth FREE) Also, as I found out after college you might get student discounts on CAD programs like autocad. Just a note!

Also, if you have any pics of what type of exterior finishes/looks your after post them so I can get a glimpse of what your after.

Question: Did you do the layout in Adobe Photoshop! What version do you have!

Nope...I made that layout in, of all things, Microsoft Word. But I do have Photoshop 7.0! I'll check out the Stetchup program (thanks for that info!). If you can find some pics of the Wilderness Lodge, I am kindof looking for something along that line. Log and stones sides, hunter-green metal roof. I started an elevation for the lobby last night, and I'm almost done with it. I've got one large window left and some things on the roof to put in. I'll scan that and post it when it is done! I'm also going to start the model for the hotel later today. I hope that turns out good! lol. It will probably be to a scale of 1":5' (that will make it about 1' tall (including roof)). I am going to try and find model doors and windows and stuff like that to include also. I'll have to price them. Does anyone know a good site for stuff like that?

WannabeWalt I found another site that just might be what you asking for. I don't believe I can post it here so I'll send it to you instead? This site has everything you asking about and then some. You probably could build some awesome resort models. It's up to you so let me know either way.

Have a magical day

Thanks bunches! I started the model today! I have many of the logs for the sides cut, the base is put together (not painted or detailed yet though), and a new layout! I will make an ariel view of the layout soon (its not much different) and post it. Sry if this screws anyone up...

Fine with me. Now that I've finished my last project (WOOT! :sohappy: ) I've got lots more time to work on this, Wannabe Imagineers, and the Disney Texas Resort.
