Nike Dri-Fit, comfortable shoes, and plenty of water. Also wouldn't hurt to get in shape before leaving (or just in general).

It's not that hot in Florida...rarely over 100 and the humidity isn't that bad.

If you can run a mile in < 7:00, I'd say you won't have any problem.
Lol.....doubt most folks can run sUB 7 minute miles, , but you point is valid if nothing else walk a couple miles daily more if you can it will pay off once you get there

When we go, I wear shorts an t-shirts or those cooling polos and for the most part, flip flops.
My feet will hurt any way, and in flip flops they are cooler.
My wife wears tank tops, capris or shorts and similar shoes.
We don't dress fancy, that's for sure.

I wear skirts or dresses because they float away from the body that and crocs flip flops so my feet don't hurt!

The chill towels are a good idea, but do try them out BEFORE going. I bought one a couple years ago and within 15 min I had broken out in a rash all over and was itching. Not fun. Now, I just use a large cotton handkerchief and wet it with water. Works nice, is easy to use, and no rash.
