Horseback riding and transporation

Hello Fellow Disney Lovers. I need some advise please. I have an ADR on a Friday at 7:30AM for breakfast at Kona Cafe (Poly). I want to possibly make reservations for horseback riding over at Ft. Wilderness after breakfast. The first time slot would be 10AM. This is in July. I was told to go in the morning to lessen the heat. How fast is the service @ Kona that time of day? I would need to go from the Poly to Ft. Wilderness and they request you arrive a half hour before your time, which would mean by 9:30AM. Would I have time to do that without breaking a leg? Do they have a boat going from the Poly over to Ft. Wilderness or would I have to take the monorail from the Poly to MK, and then the boat back over to Ft. Wilderness? Lastly would I be better to take the next time slot at 11:30AM realizing it would be hotter by then? Thanks for any tips, and magical thoughts!!!!!:)

It should be doable, I'd think. For a bit of extra insurance, I'd suggest checking in at the restaurant 15 minutes early to minimize getting a late start; and taking a look at the menus online in advance of arriving, so you know exactly what you want the second your server shows up. Doesn't have to be militarily-regimented... just gets rid of a few little potential time wasters that might pop up. Also wouldn't hurt to tell your server what you're planning to do, so they don't dilly-dally with getting you the check.

I don't think there's direct transport from Poly to FW, so you'll probably have to do the resort monorail loop over to MK first.
