Horizons or Alien Encounter

If you could bring back Horizons or AE, which one would you bring back? I would bring back AE...first "scary ride" when i was little

The loss of Alien Encounter is an absolute travesty! It was decent attraction replaced by a substandard attraction that ends with guests saying "that's it?" At least Horizon's was replaced with an enjoyable attraction (to me.) Horizons was good from what I can remember. I wish that Mission:Space didn't have to come at the expense of Horizon's, but it is too late now. The replacement of WoM with Test Track was a bad change. Mission: Space could have fit in nicely somewhere else.

I did hear that something was wrong with the Horizon's building (sinkhole) not sure if was a fact or a rumor.

For me i would bring back Horizons, it was a classic ride end was exactly what an Epcot ride should be

AE was good, but I would dump Mission:Space to bring back Horizons in a second. It brings back memories of when the Sea cabs still ran at the Living Seas and JII still had figment and the Dreamfinder (you know, back when it was still good).

Going to have to go with Horizons on this one. I just absolutely loved Horizons. It is one of my all-time favorite attractions, if not my all time favorite. I could not visit EPCOT Center without going on Horizons at least once, if not two or three times. Alien Encounter, on the other hand, never really interested me.

Gotta Break the Trend

Gotta go with Alien Encounter. It was an original ride that fit in perfectly to the Tomorrowland setting and I was really sad to see it go.

Horizons.. AE was OK the first time on it.. Then after that it was blah..

Horizons. There are a lot of scenes I like on this ride:

1. The Orange Trees where you could smeel the oranges.
2. The giant screens.
3. The ending where you could pick one of three.

I could go on but those are a few.

AE was cool, but why does nobody mourn the loss of Mission to Mars? Or If You Had Wings? Or "The Best Time of Your Life" version on COP?

Horizons - I was never an AE fan. My wife, on the other hand, loved AE. She never rode Horizons, but I'm sure she'd want AE back if possible.

AE was a novelty, a "boo!"-type attraction. HORIZONS was inspirational, imaginative, not to mention grand...

Given the choice, I'd choose HORIZONS in a heartbeat. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed AE too, but I think guests got more out of HORIZONS for their money.

AE! :sohappy: It was probably one of the most innovative, cool, and original rides ever created by the imagineers. The special effects blew me away, and the animatronics were incredable. Then they replaced it SGE, which we all know was an absolute travesty.
