horizon building

I know this is probably somewhere here but I've been to EPCOT many many many times over the past 15 years or so, being a Florida resident it's easy. anyway what is the latest on the fate of the Horizons building. Last I heard someone said it was going to be some sort of coaster or something. if that were true it would keep up with the theme in that area of "flying". see you fly into outer space on M:S, then you fly in test track and then you soar on soarin'.:sohappy:whats going on anyone know?:shrug:

I hope that I am not lost in the incredible World Of Unhip and I don't get the joke here :shrug:! The Horizons building was completely demolished long ago and replaced by the M:S building on the same spot.

If this was meant to be sarcastic, I'm not sure whether it is extremely successful, or just confounding. So, I'll just answer it straight out:

WOL is in special events hands. It is currently setup as Garden Town for Flower and Garden.

WoL is still there but it is being used solely for special events and no longer has the attractions in it. For all intents and purposes WoL is dead.

I saw that live back in the day. We had no idea Horizons had closed... since there was no wdwmagic in my life, and we walked around the corner, and i had to explain to Sam, "oh wait, that incredible attraction i was describing to you... now looks like that. Huh, Im not sure what to think"

I was so confused. Obviously, the internet wasn't what it is today, so you had no answers. It was Sam's first trip so i didnt let it ruin it, but in the back of my mind, it was haunting.

To me, it was comparable if you walked in to MK and Splash was just gone. A true moment. :lookaroun

Exactly...I thought it was refurbed at first but then...I remeber standing there trying to digest what the CM had told us.:dazzle:

The thing that made me mad, was i was there in 98 with my roommates. When I returned in '00 with Sam, boom! Unfortunately for us, the building was mostly gone except for one of the sides i think and the center structure was still there (like in the photos page 1)

I rode last in 98 or 99...

Never saw that carnage, thank goodness. I was there June 2000, riiiight before demo.
