Pre-Trip Hoping with your help this can become a Trip Report!

Hi everyone!

I am a long time reader of all of your trip reports and absolutely love them, they seriously get me through repetitive dreary work days :) I'm not usually much of a poster and this is my first time but i need some help! :)
As are the majority of you, I am a Disney nut! WDW is my happy place and I've only visited once in my life! ( but it was literally the best 4 days of my life!!!)
I am from Australia which makes my Disney obsession super hard! A visit to WDW means a 20 hour flight each way not to mention the extreme costs. ( I think it is totally worth it though)
My Boyfriend and I visited in August 2013 as part of a 4 week trip around the USA, we only had 3 days and they were huge days trying to fit in as much as possible. So I'm guessing all of you can relate, we were exhausted by the end. I want to go back so badly, I want to be able to experience WDW on a more relaxed basis for at least 2 weeks to be able to see everything the world has to offer as i feel like our first visit was just a tiny taste!.... He on the other hand is a little harder to convince.

I was hoping some of you lovely diehard Disney fans (especially guys) might be able to reply with the things that keep bringing you back to Disney, your absolute favorite moments and activities. Are there any other Aussies out there who make the trip over regularly?

I might be asking a lot but i would just absolutely love to turn this Maybe trip into a definite Pre trip and trip report and would be so eternally grateful!!

Cmon guys share the Disney love to convince my boyfriend why we must return, no buts about it!

THANKS GUYS
Steph

Although I'm not a guy the one thing I do to get my hubby more excited  about Disney is let him know we will go at a slow pace, no more running from one place to another. I also let him know that we can have sleep in days rather than get up at dawn to hit every rope drop. But the one thing that really gets him is drinking around the world at Epcot. Maybe not every country but trying something from quite a few. There's also the monorail. We hopped on from MK and stopped at a bar at the Contemporary and Polynesian resort. He got to relax and I got to experience the Deluxe resorts. Its a win win. Now just so you know my husband is not an alcoholic but he's not a Disney nut like me either so I have to find things he likes and that happens to be beer tasting from different places .

Good Luck!

Stuff I love:

  • relaxing and taking it nice and slow to absorb as much of the "feeling" of WDW and detail as possible
  • the fireworks -- I can't pick a favourite between Fantasmic and IllumiNations, and I love Wishes too
  • the food.......... omg the food
  • the drinks aren't bad either!
  • visiting and exploring other resorts
  • the shopping, especially at World Showcase
  • sitting back on the buses and just taking it all in - the sights, the excitement on kids' faces, the changing soundtrack between the parks and resorts... it's all pure magic

Thank you for sharing!!! Sounds exactly like all the things I love best! :) He really did enjoy our last trip but I think the whole 'slowing it down' part will be the thing to get him over the line on visit #2!
I just had a a squiz at your last trip report, we stayed at POR and loved it too, I think if this trip becomes reality we'll definitely return there. I also noticed your headed back to the world TOMORROW! So lucky! I'll be watching for your TR for sure! Have a great time!!

Thanks @ziptidoa :) I'm happy to listen to anyone's Disney favourites :)
That's actually one thing I'm really looking forward too, checking out some of the other resorts, we didn't have any time on our last trip.
Its great that hubby has his own Disney loves too :)

Thanks!!! The whole time zone thing has you a day ahead of us, but tomorrow definitely sounds better than two days from now!
