I went there when I was a kid and it is one of the first things on my list of to-dos for this trip. I am looking for some feedback and review. What do you guys think of it?

Also, when it comes to making reservations for this one, it says they start taking them a year in advance:jawdrop: . It may not be a signature restaurant but it sure sounds like it is hard to get a table..

you can get a reservation close to the day that you want to go.
Hoop de doo is not as popular as it was years ago, not because it has changed, it is still the same hokey show I saw in the 70s, but because there are so many other things to do at night now.

we go to this show almost every trip because we like it. keep it on your to do list, esp if you have kids, but even if not.
it is corny, it is hokey, it is old fashionedm but it is highly entertaining
but i still laugh at the same corny jokes every time
and the food is decent, and FREE SANGRIA

OOPS- what was I thinking?

editing my own post...........there is no such thing as FREE SANGRIA.

as I kept reminding my daughter when planning her wedding........despite what the salesman says, nothing is FREE, it is INCLUDED

It's a must do! One of the best things on property. Both the show and food are equally fantastic (assuming you like deliciously unhealthy things)- try to go to the middle or later show though - ever since management changed the times the early show has very few people attending - which is great if you want a good view or a good chance to be involved I guess but it really ruins the energy. Also the later shows tend to have a bit more improvisation - which is always great if you've seen the show a few times.

Edit: Reservations can be hard or easy to get - it really depends on the exact day and time you want. I'd say its one of the few things at WDW that still adheres to the busy/slow season logic.

I live it! (The cornbread...yum!) If you are going during a busy period, the last performance is always the easiest to get the best seats.

This is a family tradition for us. We started doing this when my girls were very young and they are now in their 20's. I love the sangria and my husband loves his fried chicken and beer. The show is a lot of fun!! You are going to have a blast!! If you have the dining plan, you can book it and hold it with your credit card. If you don't have the dining plan (basic, deluxe or higher) you must pay for it in full at the time of booking!

It's corny, all american classic Disney. If you like Carousel of Progress, Enchanted Tiki Room, You will like Hoop Dee Doo.

The fried chicken is really good.

9 year old grandson still talks about getting to eat all the fried chicken as the pail was set in front of him and he was not sharing as it was given to him. it was the most he ate at one time all week, he was quite proud of himself

Two credits. And you are limited to sections 2 or 3, but honestly there isn't a bad seat in the house.
