Pre-Trip Honeymooners on their first time!

When?

September 19th - October 3rd

Why?

Honeymoon!

Where?

Old Key West - We thought it looked a perfect location for us, chilled/relaxed with no obvious disney theme. We wanted a clear line between the two. Looking for a refurbished studio room near hospitality house (aren't we all?!)

The title?

Just me and my wife (married in June) and we've waited patiently for this to come around... I've been to WDW 17 years ago! Kelly has never been!

Hope you will follow us on our journey, Kelly's first time outside Europe. I was in DC for 10 days last year, which she has been forever jealous of.

Congratulations. Looks like an awesome trip. I'm curious how you think WDW compares to Universal. Are you Harry Potter fans? Do you like the intense coasters?

I'm curious also! When my family and I went i was about 10 years old and we didn't do Universal, it hadn't been open long and couldn't afford it. Kelly is a hugeeee Harry Potter fan and i've really enjoyed the films - so we can't wait for that. We both like intense coasters, but i'm a little nervous about having so many simulator rides in one place. Hope i can handle that!

My kids absolutely loved the Wizarding World. My younger daughter doesn't like rides at all and she just immersed herself in Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade. Those rides, while having some screen elements are very well done. I haven't done any of the screen rides for a long time - Back to the Future was the last. I snuck away to hit Hulk, Doom and the Rip Ride Rockit. You might not do some of the HP stuff we did like letting a wand select us - hit Ollivander's first for a great shot to get selected. We got an interactive wand and did the little magic spots around both areas. I really enjoy Universal's parks, but don't think they are as good for a longer trip. I think your mix of days is great. KSC is also one of my favorite trips, but it's been a long time since I've been there too!

All sounds amazing - the whole setting looks really impressive. Olivander's first you say? What's the cost of a wand roughly?

Neither of us have been to KSC but we've heard so many good things, we thought we'd try and fit it in!

Google says $50 for interactive, $44 for non-interactive. We were definitely getting them, so $6 more was a no brainer. My wife and I borrow our daughters' when we need to.
