Honeymoon Planning Help

Hi, I'm new to the forums and relatively new to Disney (I've been twice, STB Hubby has been tons of times). I'm looking for advice on when to book for our Disney honeymoon. We are looking to go 10/18/15-10/25/15. When is the best time to book? Should we start looking now or wait for a possible hotel deal (not really sure how all that works, when dates are announced and what not). We are looking to stay on property. We went last August because there was a late summer hotel deal. I'm wondering if you experts have any advice. Thanks in advance!

Hello SnowWhite !!

I'm not 100% sure how the American bookings differ from what is a typical package deal available to us in the UK.
However, I do believe that if you book you accommodation now (I think you only pay for one night at this time) you can cancel and re-book should an offer become available.

(Stands by to be slated should the above not be accurate !!)

Welcome to the boards! I didn't want to read and run but there are some super helpful folks around here to answer all your questions. Historical discount release dates are listed at mousesavers.com back to 2011. I would start there because it can answer so many questions in one place.

I would book now, that way you have the hotel room and it's one less thing to worry about. while you can't do dining this far out you can at least get a basic idea of prices and go from there. If a discount comes out later Disney will give you the difference by refunding your original package and just making a new reservation. It's always better to book as far out as possible, the discounts and deals can always be changed.

My fiance and I are getting married at Disney in mid January and she just changed our hotels all around for after the wedding. No fee for changing hotels and was able to upgrade with their new vacation deal without an issue.

Welcome and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I would book now, and then monitor mousesavers.com for discount codes. Or better yet, book with Kingdom Konsultants (at no extra fee), and have them monitor discounts for you which can be applied later if relevant to your reservation. We went at that time of year awhile back, and it was great - nice weather, relatively low crowds, MNSSHP, the F&W Festival, and a free DDP promotion. Book your dining ADRs at the 180 mark to get some nice romantic meals.
