I think this area would be ripe for redevelopment if that were to happen, I feel like the refurb means they want to keep this area around for longer. What would be kind of fun would be to retheme and redo this area to a endor or kashiik play areaI think this is all alittle coincidence don't u think.......backlot express is rumored to close in sept and now this is going to get refurbed in sept as well ....all this is taking place after D23 in august can u say star wars and carsland later this year

Like a bugs life? lolI haven't read any of the replies yet. But why don't they just rebrand this to another Disney/Pixar film.
Steve, can you put a poll with the first post:
What do you think will happen on November 20th
1. Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground re-opens
2. The Playground reopens with a new theme
3. The Playground no longer exists.
This thread seems to happen at least once a year.
A bug's life would be more pixar, but not more relevant enough for Disney to spend the dough on when kids just like to play on a really elaborate playground.
Forget the kids! I'm 45 and I'll be taking a climb this October, much to the annoyance of my teenagers I am sure!Temporary or not, the kids seem to love it. It's a great place for them to run around for a break from the boredom of the backlot tour and all of the 'movie magic' . My grandchildren love the 'Big Dig' at Animal Kingdom, as well.
I'll take, "Things Nobody is thinking for $200 Alex"The closing of HISTK Playground would be a travesty. HISTA is already gone - it just wouldn't be right to lose the last attraction with ties to the great Rick Moranis!
