Yeah, you know I thought it was just a temporary attraction back in the 90s...never imagined it would still be around today...Hard to believe it is 23 years old!

We need time for things to happen.

You know it's funny. I was just looking back at our old WDW home videos from 2006 and remembering how much my kids LOVED this area. I would have never imagined that as they're not huge play area kids and they really appreciate and love all the "real" attractions as WDW, but this stationary, non-interactive area just struck a chord with them. The fact that it has stuck around this long may mean that it's a hit with other kids as well.

I agree with other posters that this could easily be converted to a Bug's Life area and boost the possibility of an expanded "Pixar Place".

I'm a sucker for this spot.....I was 7 or 8 when the movie came out, and when this opened it was heavily promoted on Disney Channel....when I finally went to Disney for the first time a few years later, this was one of the places I was most excited to see. It's just one of the few spots in the park that reminds you of the early days of MGM, when properties like Rocketeer, roger Rabbit, Dick Tracy and HISTK were big. Yeah,I know its not "relevant" so much now, but it could be if Disney made it relevant...

Sheesh they just did a refurbishment around the beginning of the year to remove the Kodak logo off the roll of film. Unless they are changing it to A Bugs Life I can understand. Since HISTA Left Epcot it left this attraction left to the Franchise in any Disney park..I still get a chuckle when I see this poster in the park.

I mean come on....They could have used the Movie posters to reflect the attraction...Not the mediocre TV Series..I know they played it on The Hub a year or two ago..But, then it vanished...

I am always amazed at the popularity of this play area. The kids playing in there could care less about what TV show or movie it is themed too and it is elbow to elbow in there on most days. That area gets a lot of wear and tear from kids as well as adults crawling around.

I thought they were gonna re do It for bugs life years ago but then bugs life became irrelevant itself. (Bugs land is kinda becoming an artifact as well)

I personally Love the Play area. Its really well done IMO! I almost don't want them to change it to Bugs life because I am also a huge HISTK fan from way back and grew up watching it. It was always a cool movie as a kid! I don't see why it really has to be relevant for a play area but whatever, If changes need to happen then I guess I cant do much to stop it!

The movie is no longer relevant, but kids get the idea of being smaller than a blade of grass. In that respect, only the name is outdated.

This. It's a nicely themed play area that is supposed to make you feel like you are shrunk down. A 4 year old isn't going to care whether they know the source material.

Changing the area to It's a Bug's Life (were that ever to happen) helps unify the theme with a greater Pixar Place, but otherwise does nothing to make the area more appealing to the target demo.
