Honey Boo-Boo at the parks?

Lol, you seem to know even less than I do. This is what I've learned, although it might not be totally accurate...

It's a reality TV show about a less-than-polished family that lives somewhere in the rural south. A girl in this family is called "Honey Boo Boo" and likes to eat road kill and also loves "sketti", which is not spaghetti, but noodles mixed with margarine and ketchup.

At least one member of this family has had different children with different men, like many women in America.

I think the matriarch's name is June.

One of the male members of the family (or maybe a boyfriend?) went to jail.

That's everything I know. My sister, who watches the worst shows on TV, watches the show, which is why I know even that much.

Wow, you really don't know who they are!
Let's just say, they would make a large group of Brazilians look polite and well-mannered!

Disclaimer: I have only ever watched less than 5 minutes of one show when I walked in to a room where it was playing on T.V. but that was more than enough for me!

That's not really fair. I don't know I think I would rather spend the day in Disney surrounded by this family then some of the people I have encountered on certain Disney boards who demand their children be treated like special snowflakes and expect cast member to ooze pixie dust from their pores.

I know the Honey Boo Boo term is an object of derision around here, and while I'm not a fan of the show, they seem like nice people who like each other, have fun and are comfortable in their own skins (perhaps a bit too much so, but okay). I'd hang out with them over the Kardashians and other reality 'stars' any day.

My understanding is that this family (mainly the Mom?) wanted the attention. Reminds me too much about Jonbenet Ramsey.

For me, I have really no interest in the show etc. But, hey, if you like this stuff - to each his own.

Supposedly this was this week. Looks like the MK to me.

Based on this picture and the info that they waited in a 120 minute standby line for TSMM, they don't appear all that different from the average family visiting UNI, WDW, the mall, etc. Well, the pinch of snuff that fella is about to stick in his mouth is unusual (just for shear size if nothing else), but otherwise I don't see the big deal. It's not like they are demanding special treatment or are surrounded by security hustling the crowds out of the way as they walk down Main St.

I get why I should be (and am to some degree) annoyed by their presence on TV, but why is it again I should be annoyed by their presence at WDW?

Glad to see no them without security and enjoying themselves without too much craziness. Good for them

I've watched a whooping 5 minutes of the show and had enough at 30 seconds. Nothing against them, just more disappointed in our society that they have actual ratings. What's the Billy Madison quote? "We are now all dumber for listening to your answer" , it's kinda like that

I'd rather watch corn grow!

I don't get all the hate for Honey Boo-Boo. I've not watched the show, although hubby once had it on while I was answering some work-related emails on the laptop.

Would I ever willingly watch the show? Probably not.
Do I think they are deserving of all the hate and derision? No.

If I saw them in the parks, I'm not sure I would even recognize them - especially if they were touring like regular folks, sans VIP guides and security.
Truth be told, I was more excited on our last trip to meet the Jungle Cruise/Youtube gal.

Now, as to everyone's comparison to the Kardashians - I think they are truly contemptible. THEY have no excuse for their deplorable behaviour!

they are a very close knit family from what iv seen of their show

and yes im not ashamed to say iv watched it
Wait, wait - I "liked" this. Now, I'm not sure.
Please confirm you are referring to the Boo Boo's and NOT the Kardashians.

(Please don't make me take my "like" back.)

The Boo Boo clan was directly behind me on SSE last year in early February. There was no one else in the ride line, and I did a double-take when I realized who was coming up the ramp behind me. They were just like a typical family, not acting outrageous or silly, not behaving like they were "famous" or wanting attention. Seemed to enjoy the ride and the interactive area afterward. No one was bothering them either, like asking for photos or autographs (although I saw a few people take surreptitious shots), and they had only one Disney person with them, seemed like he was just there to lead them around and maybe help if they did get mobbed or something. They have as much right to be there as anyone else.
