Hears the deal....our homecoming parade was today..Classic TV parade. Senior's, i'm on social committee and we were doing Gilligan's Island. Everyone picked out what they were going to be and my advisior said that i would be a good astronaunt. I tried to find the costume and i couldn't so i said that i wasn't going to be an astronaunt a week later. A week later on Saturday, we were making the float and i said that the astronaunt costume thing was stupid seeing how everyone else was going to be a mokey, indian or one of the main characters. Everyone else agreed and that wednesday, my advisior who is also my ethics teacher said in a mean sort of way that i was going to be an astronaunt. So on thursday the student council advisor ask me to come on their float. i asked if they had an elephant yet, she said no so i took the job. I always wanted to be the elephant (mascot) since freshman year but someone already had it. Last year she left for college.
Before the parade my advisor went up to me and said that i won't be on social committee anymore since i jumped ship.
I was the elephant mascot today in the parade. It was fun. Seeing the faces on kids and parents when they saw me and plus seeing overjoyed kids by me throwing out candy. Best parade i've been in since i started this two years ago. Even if I get kicked off social committee, i don't care because i believe that you do what you want and nobody should force you to do anything.
