Strange question.....

1. Was there ever Home on the Range characters in the parks?

If not, would that be the first animated movie not to have characters from the movie in the parks?

Yup... They appeared to be puppets of some sort. The barn float was the one that used to appear in the Easter parade with the large hen at the top.

I think I'm one of the only people who will admit to actually liking this movie! :lookaroun

I could be wrong, but I don't believe that the Atlantis or Treasure Planet characters were there.

I loved that movie. The music was great (especially LIttle Patch of Heaven) and Gracie was so funny.

I've seen Ben from TP and Kida (I think she's called Kida) from Atlantis in the Parks before now, true, only for a short time around the releases, but still.

And I adore Home on the range, lacking in certain parts, but Gracie was an excellent character.

I actually kinda liked Home on the Range :lookaroun

In addition to the cows, Pearl was on a seperate float. I've got some pics of both floats that I can post if you like.

Also, I believe Milo from Atlantis has made a few appearances in the parks.

I don't really get it, but why does Disney seem to (nearly) hide the fact that it made The Emperor's New Groove??

It is so smart and clever--I love sarcasm. Not only that, I thought it had a lot of heart. I know dozens of people who are completely obsessed....that flick is so underrated and underestimated it it's not even funny. Well, the movie's funny.

Things like that scare me....you see horrid sequel promotions (oh my Lord, when I saw the Bambi 2 preview my eyes literally welled with frustrated tears  ), but The Emperor's New Groove is ignored completely.

I will say that there are two very good sequels--Toy Story 2 and The Rescuers Down Under. Other than that...it seems like it twists and takes away from the origional becase they're second rate and released to tape, not to mention bad animation, script, and overall story. The origionals are complete as they are; can't anything be left up to the imagination? :brick: If Disney's going to release straight to video movies, why don't they stick with Mickey and friends? They haven't gotten much play.

I am so sorry guys...I went off on the most random tangent. Forgive me. :)

I wouldn't say they are hiding it...after all they are making a sequel and a tv show on it. The sequel is Kronk's New Groove and the show is The Emperor's New Skool.

Characters from "Atlantis" and "Treasure Planet" have appeared in the parks.

4 "Atlantis" characters have appeared in the parks: Milo, Kida, Vinny and Moliere.

2 "Treasure Planet" characters have appeared: Jim Hawkins and B.E.N.

I believe the Atlantis characters still make extremely rare appearances at MGM, but Jim Hawkins and B.E.N. haven't been out for regular appearances at WDW since March 2003.

yeah but is the Groove sequel direct to video?

that's a serious injustice.
Yes, it will be Direct-to-DVD. The entire original cast will be returning (including Spade, Kitt, Goodman, Warburton, etc.)

Yeah, I saw the cows in a parade ( as mentioned before ), but they more then made up for any lack of representation with playing "Little Patch of Heaven" I think every freaking 5 minutes in Frontierland when I was there last October. ( and you think It's A Small World's a pain to get out of your head after 1 ride!! YIKES)

I have pictures of Milo Thatch and Princess Kida at Disneyland, CA the year the movie came out. Great costumes!
