Holy heatwave, Batman - can we turn the thermostat down?

Well, I'm back from my short trip to hell. Worked out OK, I guess. I grew up in the south WITHOUT air conditioning. Used to cut my lawn in Texas when it was 90+ and thought nothing of it. But having spent the last 20 years around Seattle, I was TOTALLY unprepared for the humidity. Heat wasn't a real problem until you added in the 70-80% humidity.

We went with the morning/evening strategy that worked well in Dallas. Out early in the morning, bang away at the rides, inside for lunch, then back to the hotel and pool to relax and wait for dinner. THEN, around sundown, back out to the parks for a little cooler evening action.

Two things that really shocked me. The number of sunburned people - I mean really bad burns. Along with the lack of sunscreen being used. I see melanoma in some of these people's future.

The other was the idiots who brought their 3-4 month old child out in the middle of the day with no shade protection. Shoot, saw several who had to have been no more than a month old. And the kids were almost always freaking. I find that behavior inexcusable.

That was back when you could still see cartoon starbursts in the park (IYKYK.) Now, nowadays, the closest you'll get to that is on My Favourite Ride That By The Way, Everyone Else Doesn't Consider A Classic.

(re: the title) Batman is Six Flags. Unless you mean the '60s show (and you do) which is owned by Fox and thus Disney. Come on WBD, give them the Fantastic Four cartoon in exchange for the show!
Yes, Burt Ward would be a contemporary of mine.

Yes, knew 2 guys born and raised in FL, one passed away from skin cancer in his 40s, one battling skin cancer now in his 60s going through chemo , didn't use SPF.

See, you say that and my mind immediately goes to "Oh, you mean the suit with the ni--les" . . .
And Moloko. B&R got me into them.

But since this is Disney, let's take it to THEIR Batman. I was in a Darkwing Duck hyperfixation back in late 2017. It was basically what Buzz Lightyear of Star Command is to me now. Heaven help me when I discovered Crud and Smudge from Winnie the Pooh in early 2018 (when I got back into Sonic -- Crud has SatAM Robotnik's voice.)
