Holy Flight Prices

I need to fly Boston to Orlando on 8/25. When I first booked trip flights were around $150, now that I need to book them they are at $285!!!

After much airline searching my mom said "look at Southwest from Manchester (NH)" which is about 1hr 15mn away. Their prices weren't much different. Then for what ever reason checked the day before. HOLY MOLY found flights for $140! After booking a room only reservation (so not to lose free dining) I still saved about $430. Who woud have thought I could go a day early and save that much $??? :sohappy:

these prices actually sound good compared to what we are looking at. The cheapest I have found round trip for second week of Nov is $498 per ticket plus baggage fees. Think we decided to just drive the 14 hrs can do that for about the cost of one ticket.

Purchased Southwest out of Long Island when the window first opened, paid about $880 round trip round trip for 4 people. Now the same flights would cost me $1,400!! :shrug:

Booked our flight in April for Sept. Pitts.-Orlando, non-stop, 3 people, round-trip $665 with SW. Now it has more than doubled!

We are flying out of Philly this year for 295 dollars. Do not want to drive to and from there, but it was the best price we could get by far. Last year we did Newburgh, N.Y. for around 260, this year it is over 400. Allentown was not much better and the flights were not as good.

Allentown is cutting their number of flights to. As of August, AirTran will no longer fly out of there.

After we booked our Philly flights. Wilkes Barre Scranton airport picked up Allegiant Air. The flights were quite inexpensive, introductory prices were around 180, but they flew into Sanford. Hopefully they stay for a while being that it is around a 20 minute drive from home.
