We have decided to eat @ the Hollywood & Vine Buffet @MGM.
Has anyone eatten there ? The menu looks like it will work for my picky 9 year old that lives on chicken fingers .

We've eaten there a couple of times. I wouldn't call it great, but there was nothing bad about it. It was a pretty standard buffet.

I might suggest 50's Primetime right next door. It is much better IMO, has a great theme, and serves the exact same chicken nuggets as H&V for your picky eater. There's also Sci-Fi dine in. Both are pretty good.

It's wonderful! You'll love it, so will your son. I'm pretty sure there were chicken fingers on the buffet. Also, there are meatballs, corn, mini hot dogs...a lot of "mamas food"

I've never been there, but I thought I heard that they have heroes/subs/hoagies?

Not that I remember...

Like others posted, standard Buffet fare. Maybe a little more adventurous then some buffets at WDW, they had mussels there one time .....

Decent food & variety which can please larger groups or picky eaters. We have used it several times with the Fantasmic Dinner Package.

oh, i forgot! bring a coat/jacket, it's REALLY cold in there for some reason.

Dont worry about the meal, I am a picky eater and I love that place. We only found it last year (been going for 20 years, never really saw it I guess) anyways, it's now a favorite.

Meh - DH and I thought it was decent, but nothing to rave about. The chocolate dragon was cool, and the food was perfectly tasty, but with all of the other great food options in WDW, it's not at the top of our lists.

That being said, I find much of the food to be sub par (Sci Fi, Mama Melrose's) or very hit-or-miss (Brown Derby and 50's), so the H&V is IMHO the most consistent pick in the park...

Oh, and the kids' buffet was really quite good, so your picky eater will definitely find something he or she likes!!! :)

H&V is my favorite restaurant at MGM these days. I agree with the poster who called the others "hit or miss." I love the bourbon glazed salmon. Mmmm.

If you have a pretty big appetite the H&V is perfect being that it's a buffet - but for we always skip it as the food is just so-so.. Our fav's are the 50's Primetime (perfect for a picky eater not to mention the s'more dessert is WONDERFUL!) or the Sci-Fi, so entertaining it's almost an attraction in its own right! We've never had a bad meal at either the 50's PT or the Sci-Fi - both have always been excellant and the atmosphere is incredible!

I was there last week. I'd say it's an average buffett, pretty good and consistant. Nothing too strange. The dessert part is above average though, lots of choices and make your own sundays :D yummy
