We ate there a few years back for dinner, no characters. I think it was the most disappointing meal we have had in our eight trips to the world.

I love H&V. Not the best buffet on property, but better than most...for dinner. Their breakfast is very standard and not very unique.

We have eaten at H&V once (family of 5)
Def got our $ worth.
We all devoured the peel & eat shrimp :slurp:
Our server was attentive.
Got us a seat at Fantasmic :sohappy:

I think I'm more confused now than I ever was, lol. I think I'm just going to try it, and see what happens!

That's probably the best policy. As long as you go in expecting the typical Disney buffet food, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

We ate at H&V in Feb.(2010) and it was good. We had dinner so there were no characters but, the staff was friendly. The restaurant was clean and the food was hot. It was a buffet so the food was pretty standard buffet food and the selection was decent. I would definately recommend it.

*we are a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids -ages 13 and 8 at the time)

I totally agree with this. Even though I mentioned that we didn't enjoy the place, doesn't mean you wont love it. Any meal at WDW beats any other meal elsewhere.
