Hollywood & Vine character breakfast

Have not done the character breakfast but we did do dinner way back in 2007 and it was terrible. One of very worst meals we had on that trip. The resturant is very cold feeling and just not very DISNEY. But it might have changed since 2007 so take my word for it.

We did breakfast in 2008 and the food wasn't good. We had our granddaughter with us, and she enjoyed the characters, but we were clues as to who the characters were.

I too was wondering the same. I remember reading months ago that Jake was replacing one of the Little Einsteins but all of the menus are not listing Jake. Either way my kids like both shows and will enjoy breakfast just wondering who to expect.

We did the character breakfast in January 2012. We were actually the first family there, so they gave us a little card that said we were the first family of the day. That was kind of cool!

The characters were Jake, Oso, June, and Handy Manny. I only knew who Handy Manny was, but our son knew everyone.

The food was pretty good, but of course it was fresh because we were one of the first families there. The characters spent plenty of time with us, and they had a couple of girls (women, really) that led some dancing and other stuff at the front of the restaurant. The kids seemed to have a good time with it (our son was too embarrassed to get up there).

We don't really have any complaints, but I don't think we'll be doing that breakfast again (mostly because our son does not watch any of those shows anymore).

Went in September '11 for breakfast and my son had a ball. Place was kind of empty but all that meant was that the characters spent more time with each family. My 2 year old had a ball with Oso and Manny (who stayed with him for a while) and June and Leo were there. Guess Leo is now out. Food was not great but far from awful.

I think I will give it a try with my 4 year old boy, big Jake fan and he is not too worried about food. Our 10 year old girl however will probably end up at the princess breakfast with Mom. She is a little too cool for school when it comes to Playhouse Disney...:)

I just did it at the end of this past January with friends and their two little girls... The cast is as described earlier. The food was good (but nothing special) and regularly refreshed--and we were there towards the end of breakfast.

Since it's not the most popular breakfast, you'll get LOADS of character interaction. Plus, nobody's tripping-over anyone else. The non-character CMs were great too--got to see two different shifts and they were both great at getting the kids (and a few parents) to dance and have a great time. My friends' older daughter just lost her mind the first time she saw Jake--big fan. :) It didn't stop, either, by the fourth time he made the rounds.

We went for breakfast back in August and it was GREAT!!! :sohappy: It was before Jake joined the lineup, but it was a really wonderful meal and experience. The food we had was on par with breakfast at Crystal Palace, Chef Mickey's and 1900 PF. The staff was very friendly and efficient...got us in right at 8am and got us out at 8:55a to make the run for TSMM fastpasses. Even one of the guys up at the front door was playing little games with our girls on the way out and gave them a bunch of stickers. The restaurant was less than half full, so we got double visits from all of the characters. The character interaction was also more unique- i.e. they were each really into character and it wasn't just pose for a pic and get an autograph. Even I got to "drive" rocket with Leo from Little Einsteins. Handy Manny and I had a great took about tool safety and I think everyone found a new love for Oso :lookaroun:D He really was the star of the meal for us. Our kids also loved getting up and dancing w/the Playhouse Disney folks & characters. We would totally do this breakfast again!
