Hollywood studios umbrella

So I'm sitting in my apt. with dreams of diney in my head and i was thinking about my favorite photo spot at Hollywood Studios "dont care its still MGM". anyways... so I have heard that the umbrella will rain when you stand under it... yet i have never seen it actualy rain while i am singing under the umbrella?

Unless something has changed, it was "raining" in September when I was there in '10. I love that photo spot!

Maybe a trick to the effect . . . or maybe it doesn't always work. :shrug:

You have to step on the sensor pad on the ground but yes, it rains. I think it was broken for awhile but last time I played with it in May, it rained just fine.

It often gets turned off when there's a water shortage in Florida as (to the best of my knowledge) it isn't a closed system like most fountains are.

There is a square that is very obviously a sensoe pad that you must stand on to activate it!

It was definately working last week. Took a couple of pictures under it on different days.
