Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom?

For us AK is a 3-day park, animal lovers that we are. Our last two trips we split resort stays and moved to AKL just to immerse ourselves for the AK portion of our stay. Beyond the animals and theming, we feel more relaxed there than in any other park, with less of a sense of pressure to hit everything in a short timeframe. DHS beyond the "Hollywood that never was and always will be" is just so much of an orphaned, lost opportunity that someday hopefully will be resurrected. And I will never accept that Avatar belongs in AK; shoehorning some ecology themes into "Avatarland" is fine, but the movie was primarily a creature of its effects, which to me says DHS more than AK. We can fill a morning at DHS, do TSM, Star Tours, enjoy the architecture, get lunch at Brown Derby, and that's about it. AK is a rich, immersive experience to be savored over multiple days.

We truly enjoy the Studios. With Tower of Terror a favorite of ours and Toy Story, it is nice. Although it would be nice to have a few more kid friendly "rides" there. It seems that the shows are all the smaller kids can do besides the Honey I shrunk the kids playset. I would love to see a Monsters Inc dark ride like DCA and they could even bring in the Bug's Life ride train that is there as well.
On the other hand, we do spend a half day at Animal Kingdom. Everest, Safari Ride, Dinosaur are musts for us there and then we typically grab a bite to eat and head out. We have spent all day there in the past and plan to next month explore more trailways.

Ak sucks pretty hard. DHS for me, I love RNRC and GMR, but the theming at DHS stinks, but at AK there really isn't much that I enjoy. I am also a big fan of studio parks. My Orlando park rankings:

Universal Studios Florida
Epcot
MK
IOA
DHS
AK
