Hi all, I'll be heading to Orlando next week and haven't yet ridden this ride.

I just wondered if anyone knew if this ride was currently open and operating or not.

Last I heard was that it was closed indefinitely!

Thanks.

It had broken down on my BF and my vacation last Sept, he had waited 2 years to ride it, he was not happy  you should be fine, it's next scheduled to break down on our next vacation next year!:hammer:

Whenever I go it is broken :-( I hope you have better luck!

Talk about bad luck...I go very often and I have only seen it down during its rehab last fall and one other time when it was VERY windy.

It's a decent coaster...if you get the right train! lol Love hearing Elevation by U2 on that ride! So many good tracks!

It only opened 18 months ago......actually maybe 20 months ago at this point. Im there all the time (wrestling geek) maybe 4 or 5 days a month, since the major shutdown the OP was alluding too its been running all the time with actually quite short waiting times. 20-30 minutes maximum

Last time I was there they were testing... which I think over ran because it was suppose to be open then.

I'm glad they have proper songs on it because i heard a rumour theyd lost that right and were using generic songs that just fitted a genre and not by a particular artist.

Yup, there's even "hidden songs" you can access.

Rip Ride Rocket will be like Dudley Do Right. A hot atraction. Maybe due to all the defects it will jump track during it's daily test before guests get on it and do what needs to be done. Self destruct.

It was opened two weeks ago. It did close for parts of each day we were there.

IMO, the music isn't that great. It is listening to the radio while riding a coaster. The music doesn't sinc up to certain elements of the ride.

The ride itself is just ok. Too many block sections. I understand it is to get a higher capacity, but 5 blocks is a lot.
