Hollywood Brown Derby Recommendations

We just upgraded to the deluxe dining plan and have added a lunch at HBD. I'm pretty excited as it's been ages since I've eaten here and it sounds like the food quality is greatly improved.

I've been looking over the menu and saw lots of appealing things. :slurp: Anyone have any recommendations?

ooohhh good question...i have lunch reservations there in late fall also. i haven't ever eaten there but also decided to give it a go with all the good reviews about the improvements people have given them on these boards.

My wife and I love to share a Cobb salad on a hot day with a glass of wine and bottle of Pellegrino. We've also had wonderful pork tenderloin there as well. It can be a really nice experience, too bad they don't still have the pianist there.

This one is Near the top of our list.

We ate there on our next to last day of an 8 day marathon/first trip last July on the Deluxe Dining Plan. We had the Cobb Salad and it was such a nice, refreshing diversion from the heavy meals we had been eating all week. It was so nice to have a nice cold salad on such a hot trip. And the salad was AMAZING. Since then we have tried making it ourselves, but it is just not the same. I can't remember what else we had, but I am sure I had a hunk of meat and I am sure it was wonderful.

We also loved our steak there - I can't recall what type - maybe ribeye?

Only ever ate at the Brown Derby for the Lunch w/an Imagineer. The food was TDF! Thoroughly enjoyed it! I'm absolutely itching to go back for a Cobb Salad and Grapefruit Cake....but I don't want to take my kids. Why, you ask? Because I just want to have a salad and dessert. My teenage boys will inevitably order the lamb shank and filet entrees along with the desserts making a lite, reasonable meal into a belt-bustin' small investment. :lol:

potato crusted crab cake!!!!!!!!!!, a cobb salad, and the vanilla bean creme brulee...all in all the perfect meal
