Other than special parades, etc., what are your favorite things to do at WDW during the Christmas season? This will be our second trip during Christmas...last year, we did Holidays around the World in Epcot, visited the gingerbread house at GF, watched the tree lighting ceremony at Epcot and went to Downtown Disney to look at decorations and shop.

We will have small children with us...can't wait!!!:xmas:

We jsu got back (12/6-16) and there isn't a special tree lighting show at Epcot this year. We like to hear the Storyteller at the Yacht Club.

This sounds interesting. Whereabouts in Yacht Club is the storyteller? We're staying at Beach Club next December before our Cruise.

One of our favourite holiday things to do is to take in the Candlelight Processional. We do it with the dining package but given you have small kids, you can always stand outside the American Gardens Theatre to catch some of it and then when the kids want to move on, you can simply walk away from the theatre.

The storyteller is in the YC's lobby. When you check in they'll give you a list of "Holiday Happenings" at the two hotels. Depending on when you go, they have character appearances in both lobbies, gingerbread cookie decorating at the BC, choral groups at the YC, and the storyteller. We've seen him the last three years. He tells a story called "Santa's Snowflake Special." I don't want to ruin the surprises, but it's like the Polar Express. The guy is AWESOME. He's really tells the story well. If he's there when you are definitely go see it.:xmas:

It's our third visit during Christmas season (Nov. 29-Dec. 7).:xmas: We visit the Contempt., Poly., and GF to enjoy the holiday decorations. We especially enjoy the Osborne lights presentation and Illuminations special. Both leave you in the holiday spirits mood:sohappy:

We just spent a weekend in WDW. Friday we went to DHS to see the Osborne Lights. Sat we did Epcot - Holidays around the world, Candlelight Processional, and Illuminations...all beautiful and worth while! Sun. MVMCP had the park pretty much to ourselves as the weather was bad...but we had an awesome time:) Saw GFR decorations.

Be sure and check the Disney Park happenings channel in your resort room

Have a fun trip:wave:

Gee Wiz, I forgot to mentioned we saw the Candelight Processional featuring John Mitchell Stokes (he was excellent, possessing a great voice for the Christmas reading) and we also did MVMCP (Dec. 2) FREEZING (38 degrees) and PACKED. The crowd took some of the fun out of it for us>:xmas::sohappy:
