Holiday Question

My family is pushing back our 1st trip to WDW ....

but only from Dec. to Jan.

How long do they keep the holiday decorations up?

I think they come down New Year's Day (or that night after closing). I could be wrong. At least the crowds won't be as bad in January.

What part of January are you going? Most of the Christmas festivities will end New Years but some may linger for a few nights after. You also might still catch some of the decorations even if the festivities have ended. It takes a while to decorate the place so I'm sure it takes an equally long time to take the stuff down.

Congratulations on your first trip! I'm sure you'll have a great time.

Amazingly, they are taken down very fast... unfortunately... so you may miss them if you go after the first week of January. I am not sure but I think the park comes back to normal (at least Epcot) on January 2nd or so.
