Holiday Illuminations

:xmas: Howdy folks, I just came back from the CM H:I Preview and there's been a few changes. *curses* We had to wait till all the guest left the park tonight. It started at 11:30pm. *CHEERS* Any other CM there tonight?? Wasn't it freaking cold!!!?! *shivers*

1. New YOAMD Spiel
2. The spiel that lets people know that the tag(last ten minutes of illuminations) isn't over isn't there anymore.
3. Same good old Walter Conkrite :D
4. Different song...or at least one of them was missing.
5. It still sounds all warm and fuzzy + being at war= love and peace.

But you all are seriously going to like it.
Plus while exiting the park to go home, our christmas tree was being put up :xmas: :sohappy:

Different song..? Wait, so are you saying the finale is no longer "Let There be Peace on Earth?"

I just got home too. Was front row center :). Other than the new YOAMD intro, I didn't notice any of those other changes. It seemed to be the exact same tag as last year.

OK good to hear. I just recently talked up how great it was to a bunch of what will be holiday tag RoE first-timers this year, and would have been bummed if it wasn't the same great show.

*waves* I could've sworn it was missing. The part that was missing for sure though was the part it would let people know that the show isn't over. And yes, it was a bit different then last years. I was there with all my area managers and they themselves told us that it was different. *shrugs* Oh well, I had a great time though. XD Cold!!!!

Thanks for the news! I hope Peace on Earth remains in there in some form. Thats one of my favorite Catholic Hymnals. Looking forward to seeing it, I'm sure even if it has changed it's still amazing, if there's one thing Disney knows how to do, it's put up a good fireworks display.

Just checked the website, they still have "Peace on Earth" listed as being in the show. Not sure if it's up to date yet though...

How do you people even hear about Cast previews!? I was working until 10 tonight, I would have totally stayed had I known :cry:

Are there any other previews for anything else coming up that I should know about? Specifically, for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party?

Today at MK @ 11pm for the CM Preview of the MVMCP parade. I'll be there with bells on of course. XD!

And It was in this weeks Tell-A-Cast btw silly girl!!


Tonight we waited untill 11:30. They did the whole illuminations show without the fireworks. Just the lasers and music was playing and then they did the TAG at the end....it was just amazing. Plus they're putting up our tree up tonight. So I can't wait to see it when I get back to work on Friday.

Managers were checking IDs and such to see if you were a CM or not. A few quest were not and they were kicked out.

Ah..the Tell-a-Cast...I have like 3 in my pocket, I can't believe I didn't notice :brick:

Did they do 2 tests? We could hear the firworks from the apartment. We heard one set at 11:45ish, but also an earlier set at exactly 10:56pm. We could tell by the "explosion" that it was bholiday tag testing, even though we knew nothing of it.

It BETTER be the same song as last year with Walter Kronkite. In my book, it is the #1 thing to do at Walt Disney World during the holidays, hands down. Incredible fireworks, incredibly moving theme and song. Perfection.

The earlier thing you heard was over at MGM. They had a nice little display going on for something, but I have no idea what.

And for those of you worrying about this year's tag: don't! Everything I remembered and enjoyed from last year is back again this year. I honestly couldn't tell the difference, but perhaps I'm just not that observant.

I know!! I saw those fireworks while walking around world showcase waiting for the preview to start. I asked a security guard and he mentioned it was a special event supposedly. A big company of some sort over at MGM.

it was either a special even at the studios last night, or they were testing out the fireworks for this weekend.... Sat and Sunday night they are having a small fireworks show at night for Super Soap Weekend... However unless you are a big ABC Soap Opera fan, I would avoid the Studios this weekend....

:dazzle: :lookaroun I agree! It's going to be some crazy mobs out there waiting for the hot men from general hospital. I hope epcot won't be busy because of it. I can't remember if it was last year.
