Well originally we were supposed to be going for Halloween next year, but after a week from hell (and the fact Virgin had a really flight deal on) we have decided to bring our Holiday forward to June, during which time will be my husbands birthday, we are not staying on-site, but i have heard about the birthday pins you can get from Disney when you visit, but I have no idea where you get them from, also where would you recommend getting a Birthday Cake from, and is there any birthday treats you would sugguest within a moderate budget and the fact that we will also have our kids who will then be 5yrs and 3yrs with us

Thank in advance

Hi

We will be there for his actual birthday, as we are getting a 14 day ticket, free admission would not be applicable to us, tbh we would be quite happy with just the pin as it would be excellent for the memory box, not that a gift card wouldn't come in handy:lol:

You should check into the What will you Celebrate thing. I don't know the exact details since I'm a CM and get in free everyday but you may qualify for the gift card.

To answer your question about the birthday buttons. You can get them at Guest Relations at any park or downtown disney.

That's the idea ;) If you have an AP or multi-day ticket, you can get one of these:

  • A birthday fun card in an amount equal to the price of a 1-day Magic Your Way base ticket* for you to use on your birthday for merchandise, recreation or fun activities at select participating locations at Walt Disney World® Resort; or
  • A special birthday FASTPASS® badge+ for certain attractions at the Theme Park you visit on your birthday; or
  • A 1-day Magic Your Way base ticket for you to use any time until your next birthday.
Not a bad deal, he should definitely register his birthday =)

You can pick up the birthday button from Guest Relations.

Yeah... Last year, we wanted a birthday pin. When we were at Epcot, we stopped by (I guess it was guest relations)... I think it was basically across the walkway from the photo place that is practically under Spaceship Earth (boy, I hope I'm remembering all of that correctly). Anyway, the guy there was like "Sure... what other pins would you like? Here's a dozen other things--just pick what you want".

The birthday buttons are nice, I had one on my birthday last May, and wore it with pride. The one thing it did was cause me to wish everyone that I saw the next few days a Happy Birthday! That turned out almost as much fun as my own birthday.

Thanks everyone, I checked the Disney site and when i went to register his B'day it came up that as we are going to be International Guests, that we don't need to register but to just bring ID with us.

Sent away for the DVD planning at the same, hopefully it will be the right one

Thanks Again

Hi There
If you are staying off disney property and you want to get a pin for someone's birthday, when you visit Magic Kingdom go to City Hall right before you hit Main Street (it's right near the Rail Road Station, you can not miss it) ask a cast member just in case.
If you want to enjoy a great disney birthday I can suggest you make a reservation at one of the disney resort hotel restaurants and tell them you are celebrating a birthday dinner, or you can make reservations at any of the park sit down restuarnts for a birthday celebration, just make sure you let them know when making your reservation and then again when you show up on the day. They will make sure to make that special someone feel very very special. Hope this helps you. :sohappy: Enjoy your time next year ok.

Birthday cakes ?? As you're staying offsite I would visit one of the large supermarkets in the area - there's plenty on 192 (runs east to west just south of WDW)

Nice Publix at Champions Gate. You'll do fine with a cake from there as long as you aren't looking for somethign too exotic.
