Listening to Florida Project on Live365, getting ready for basketball later today(Championship Week, bay-bee), trying to knock out a 60-second spot for my Copy Writing class, and trying to plan out my Spring Break trip to Mouseland next week. (But then, you knew that last part already, dint'cha, Rob?) :)

Reminds me of a friend in Mass who can't get Domino's to deliver because she lives in the next town...even though they deliver to the house next door, since it's on the other side of the line.

well.. the first representative of Sprint PCS was unable to help me (she fell asleep on the phone and actually snored)... but the second was able to complete what the first wasn't doing....

my customer retention plan ended this month, and Sprint notified me they weren't going to continue it after the 15th... so I had until then to select a new plan, or start over with a new company. After doing my research I discovered that Sprint is STILL the only mainland US based company that won't roam in Puerto Rico (T-Mobile will roam extensively, Cingular won't roam in San Juan but the rest of the island is fair game, Verizon is just weird, and AT&T was of no help). So after researching their plans, I haggled and was allowed to keep my unlimited 3G services for $10 a month and my cheap Europe rates, and took 1100 anytime minutes, unlimited nights/weekends from 7PM to 7AM for $65 a month.

I'm calling tomorrow though to see what kind of corporate discounts I can get from my job :D

It's funny, everyone complains how many bugs this program has, but I have not encountered any yet. I make a lot of movies on my computer, output them to DVD and tape, and Pinnacle hasn't failed me yet...

Besides, studio 9 just came out!:sohappy:

Are we talking about the same POS Pinnacle Studio8 as I am?

Have you been able to render a two hour DVD without it getting blocky?

Have you been able to render an MPEG file for sharing on the net that is not stupidly blocky?

Have you had it not do weird things when setting return to DVD menu ponints within a project with multiple menus?

If you can answer "yes" to any of the above - HOW?

And I have no intention of buying version 9. They can't get version 8 to work so I'll be damned if I'll be foolish enough to part with good money for another of their products.

I have never attempted to render an MPEG file for sharing on the internet. So, I can't help you there...

As for rendering DVD's, Pinnacle has been extremely effcient for me. The DVD's that I have rendered are absolutely crystal clear.

I must admit, that multiple DVD menus can get pretty darn tricky. It is difficult to create something that is completly cyclic and connected without running into problems. If I ever go spring for Pinnacle 9, I hope that they have worked out this system with a little more proficiencey.

The reason I like Pinnacle is that it is self explantory and you can do some really complex things. Pinnacle is FAR from perfect. However, it gets the job done with out having to pay $500 for Adobe's Premiere.

1.4ghz Athlon processor and three quarters a gig of RAM. I tried rendering edits of Festival of the Lion King, Tarzan Rocks, Flights of Wonder plus footage of tigers and gorillas onto a two-hour DVD. Some of it was OK; other bits just went blocky on me. When I put the same projects onto two one hour DVDs they came out fine.

I was able to create the menus, but when I put the return to menu marker in for any sub menu it shot right to the end of the project and had to be manually dragged back to the right place. These markers also do weird things with transitions.

Me?... I bought Boondock Saints and Who Framed Roger Rabbit today. I also joined the Suncoast Replay program and finished my homework.

Now, I wait for the hospital to call me so I can go fix something.

Your system should run everything optimally. I can't understand why things went blocky. I have a 3.06 ghz processor and a 1 gig of RAM, but I doubt that such specifications would make any noticable difference.

Sounds like your working on a pretty interesting DVD. :) When I went last July, I took all my digital pictures and created a half hour slide show. I bought the park parade CD, so I inserted park music, titles, explanations. It turned out great.

Again, I agree that the DVD menu system can be finicky, especially when working with multiple menus. Though, it is cool when you pop in such a professional DVD to show to people.

With all software, it seems that patience is an asset that we must have. I'm sorry things were difficult!

I hope everything works out great for you!:)

My family didn't like Sprint...so we switched to AT&T and all got AT&T phones....now we're finished with AT&T.....trying to figure out with company we should go with next. Verizon does look good though, went to Circuit City the other day and checked out some plans, they've got some good rates (ahh...best thing is I don't have to pay the bill :D )

As for my day....went and saw Starsky and Hutch at 10 am this morning....then lunch at Wendy's and back home...then watched School of Rock....haven't done much else since except hanging around on the PC, just playing some Flight Simulator 2004 and searching around the internet.....boring I must say, hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Funny I called Sprint today and cancled My land line they were billing me for calls I didn't make and all that, so I turned it off and now its back to a cell phone only.

the worst call I ever had to sprint was about changing my number becuase some cop was doing undercover work and the guy that was his suspect randomly spit out my phone number as a way to get a hold of him to a few people so he had my phone number changed and he took my old phone number. I was on the phone that night for 5 hours getting my number changed, the cop was on the phone with me that whole time trying to get sprint to change my number very long and drawn out proccess.

I like the Dell helpline in England - I've never had any long waits on that, but saying that I've never called the Personal helpline so that may be crappy too lol. (I've only called the Business helpline when I was doing work as a sysadmin a couple of years ago)

I HATE one of my banks in England - their hold music consists of the same 45 second loop (Their theme music) Over and Over and Over and Over and......... When you're on hold for 15 minutes you really want to slit your wrists

WDW-DINE takes the cake for me...

25 mins... dumps me
15 mins... dumps me
15 mins... dumps me

in that time, I could've physically gone to a resort, booked the dinner, and come home
