Hoggwarts Express footers found!

All this while we were debating the existance of buried monorail footers backstage of EC, real actual footers that won't be buried (and actually used) were being poured by the competition up the (I-4) street! Scroll down to the second image of the link below and you will see that Hoggswarts Express is - like the WDW monorail - an elevated system! Scroll to the bottom of the page (last image on page) to see Hoggswarts Express foundation footings! Okay, not as exciting as the secret buried monorail footers backstage of EC, but exciting because these are really planned for use really soon!

Hopefully, Disney Imagineers will (or did) get the idea from this to do something - any thing (monorail, traditional rail, peoplemover, light rail, Maglev, in your dreams rail, any rail) - to connect EC with DHS! Practical transportation disguised as an attraction! Simply brilliant!

lets not blame the imagineers for something TDO won't do......I am sure if it was up to the imagineers there would be awesome transportation systems all over WDW

Had no idea the train was that far along. Awesome. Will this be a 'real' train like MK or a lighter ride vehicle?

What constitutes a "real" train? It won't be steam. Rumor is that it'll be a Doppelmayr Cable Liner Bypass System.

How am I being funny? Why does the timing of the pouring of these footers matter?

I was poking fun at my EC footer claims and posting something real.

P.s. Only I can make fun of myself. It's kind of like how only a Jewish person can make Jewish jokes making fun of Jews because anyone else making jokes like that would be quickly accused of being antisemetic.

It will indeed be a mostly elevated twin train pulley system. Windows will be a parallax hi resolution screen system, think Mission:Space but bigger and better (and not blotchy)

From the exterior, views of the train will look totally real. This however is a ride system as much as it is a transport system.

The "found" word was a joke. It was also true because I just found out about it. I purposely wrote it so that it could be taken many ways. I didn't know about it until just very recently.

Thanks for explaining. Guess I was a bit jaded from the Epcot threads. Btw, I'm still waiting for photos from outside WDI Epcot. My friend is out west at the moment

Thanks for that. I was wondering about those footer pics myself but you beat me to it before having to ask. I make a lot of jokes about the monorail footers lately to try to ease the air after all those negative vibes that erupted in that discussion. That should never happen to anyone.

Nice! I would say that qualifies since it is a system that would be used in the real world. But how does that design fit into HP? Different shell on top of the technology?

Just altered cars on top. Ocean Express at Ocean Park in Hong Kong is a funicular version that is a similar, but less technologically sophisticated, attraction.
