Hmmm...wonder if this story is totally factual or not? if it is, must be a wonderful time to visit Disney World with shorter wait times right now!

When people travel on average for 7 days with food and lodging for a jets vs titans game…then we’ll talk 🥸
You seem to be under the impression that everyone who goes to a professional sports game is a local who just drives down the block to attend. Are you not aware that lots of people travel great distances to attend sporting events and, yes, will plan entire vacations around them? I've done that myself, since we have no pro sports teams in our area.

Also, as a glasses-wearing-American, I take deep offense to you punctuating your comments with such an emoji. I am triggered. 😂

You can say the same for those who travel to different regional parks. For some reason many dismiss those. Whose can travel to Williamsburg for a theme park 🙄

People will make occasional pilgrimages to sporting events…especially for unique ones like overseas, March madness, bowl games etc…

They will also do “Broadway fests” for long weekends…even a week or so to binge shows

It’s a lot of cash…certainly more than Disney weeks for those distances and activities…

But let’s get to it…the only reason I bring this up is because everytime they crank the price for the same stuff…which never changes like shows or games…AT ALL. And people give this really bad comp to run interference for their tactics. That’s really all it is…it makes hardcore fans unable to cope with a pretty honest criticism…

And why does Disney do this? Because they have been spinning in circles trying to make up for shortfalls in other parts of their business. Leaning too much on the parks. It’s like a 20 year narrative. This management is bad…they exploit even what is working and turn it south

We get the parks more because they are more “tangible” to us here.

Have you seen them tank Lucas and now MCU? Have we seen them pump the tires on streaming while making very minimal gains in the money market?

Yes…parks hit hard though. More for the same or even less is really hard to shine and sell.

And if we go back and talk about the FEW that go to 8 Taylor shows on the road or an entire nfl season…it’s irrelevant…because they’re beyond be threshold of where price matters at all…which is not the case For most amusement park visitors and NEVER will be.

My major flaw (of several thousand) is weak excuses on a “non-personal”
Level. Criticizing is NOT personal for anyone here…or any fan. It’s a great part of life..:but it ain’t your life. Compartmentalize.

Rant adjorned

(And before anyone tries the “it may not be big to YOU”…I’ve got enough life events and milestones on the ground as anyone on their resumes…please don’t 🙏🏻)

In the Parks
Yes
So what's the consensus for crowd level during this the Columbus Day weekend ? Has the Federal shutdown had an impact to the Northern migration since all the children have been in school for a bit ?

I don't know about Disney. I do know that a lot of mid Westerns have flocked to Cedar Point this weekend. It's been at capacity yesterday and today with waits around 2-3 hours for the top coasters.

Not really as most spend the day time for coasters and then at night is for Haunted mazes and scare zones.

That's what most people do at those parks. Not many are spending $250 to have short waits.
You mean “peasants” don’t spend their way out of lines in an AMUSEMENT PARK?

What about ADHD, RSL, CBS, CBS, and then dozens of other excuses I hear for people to be “smart” and double pay for their rides? Or 3x if you buy the “exclusive Premium ticketed experience events” that are only for you and 25,000 of your closest friends (more than the day crowds condensed down into half the window)??

Are you mad? 🤪

Are you?

I’m pretty sure we aren’t talking about peasants but plenty of people pay to skip standing in lines at WDW and other parks.

For people who don’t mind paying it makes more sense than standing in lines all day.

I’m not sure what you’re referring to with “RSL and CBS” although ADHD is pretty clear. No one needs to make any excuses for spending their money as they see fit.

I don’t know what RSL and CBS mean (assuming you’re not referring to the tv station) but your reference to ADHD comes off as rather insensitive.

I’m riled up today…pay it little mind

RSL is restless legs syndrome…

You probably won’t like what CBS is…so I’ll not give those up…

As far as adhd goes…I fully respect the difficulty there. It’s real.
However…long before your day (like 2 years ago)…Disney had to enact whole sale changes to the disability system because mostly this…to the point where now they have eliminated the use for many who are legit with struggles mostly because people (quite disgustingly) abused the previous one for adhd in particular.

How? Telling friends…and spreading it through our friend the internet…”just tell them you have it…they’ll give it to you and you won’t have to pay.” Including employees…sickening…

Why? Overpriveleged…not seeing the big picture. Not good humans.

Don’t want to go down this path…so I withdraw

None of this has anything to do with people buying line-skips.
