HM/POTC Rehabs

I really hope HMH comes to WDW this year. I saw it in DL in 2002 and it's so good. When I was at WDW a few weeks ago, I noticed they were selling lots of Jack Skellington merchandise on a cart outside HM. I think they've been doing it for awhile, but it does give me hope that HMH will show up at WDW.

I don’t think it is coming this year. I believe it was Lee that suggested that it would be going to Tokyo this year and possibly to WDW in 2006

Are there any members here with ties to Imagineering who can claify the PoTC and HM refurbs? It would be great is Grizz has inside info or if Lee can shed more light into what is planned.

POTC needs a rehab, but not a re-do.

Haunted Mansion Holiday was already at TDL this past october (2004), so then maybe we could be seeing it come to the World this coming october.

At some point they decided to hold off, for several reasons including Stitch, and all the stuff went to Tokyo where HMH debuted over there.

Where it stands now...I have no idea. But, if and when it shows up, expect the ride to go down for a month or so for installation, and likely upgrades to sound, etc.

Those ''steps'' are still there in the HM - you climb up the staircase just after viewing the piano-playing shadow...

I really don't remember it, my aunt said that she remembers it feeling like you were going up stairs and it was smooth when we went...

A while back, some were clammoring about changes to PotC. If I remember correctly, someone on the boards said the pirate near the end, with his leg hanging over the wall, had changed. Well, everyone pretty much denied it, but I too could have swore it was different (bigger smile, squinting his eyes, looked DRUNK like the others!)

Well, thanks to DonickCo (thanks Nick!) I can now say there was a switch made. May have been just the face; may have been the whole AA, but the change was made!
