Hitchhiking Ghosts changed?

Rode HM today only to find that the Hitchhiking Ghosts are indeed that: They were images of the ghosts "thumbing" it! No reflection of our doombuggy, no interactive spirits messing with us. Rode yesterday and all was normal. Change or glitch???

OK, I'm confused... so you passed by the three hitchiking ghosts thumbing a ride, after that should have been the reflections of the ghosts and the doombuggies. There is no way they can do away with that scene unless they cover it over with sheets. You say you saw it yesterday though....perhaps you got distracted and missed it?

She said, "Images" of the ghosts thumbing it. It almost sounds like they covered up the scenes like they did while the new ghost effects were being installed.

The Duck: Yeah, it was similar to the transition phase. The images today were animated; don't remember if the transitionals were animated or stills. The reflected portion was greyed out. Just seemed odd since it had been the interactive animation the other days this week.

This is exactly why they should've kept the original Hitchhiking Ghosts.

At least the original ghosts were more reliable and actually appeared to be "real" figures in your Doom Buggy, instead of obvious digital projections.

You're thinking of two different scene. The "hitchhiking scene" is always present as the technology to my knowledge is one that cannot "go down". They are AAs. The next scene where the ghosts interact with you is technology that can go down. You may have hit it on a bad day where there were some problems. That scene has been refurbed when the interactive queue was put in. Hope that helps!

I haven't experienced this, but does anyone know what happens if you get stopped by the mirrors with the new interactive effect?

Yeah, mechanical figures that turned a few degrees left and right are MUCH preferred over state of the art digital projections that interact based on how many people are riding in a vehicle. Right.

There was never anything wrong with the original effect. The new effect is pretty awesome, but it's a bit too zany, like something out of Toontown. The old effect could be seen from the side, the new one is flat screens.
