Just posted a message on the 15th Anniversary thread (congrats again!), and I was just wondering...is there a wiki or a blog somewhere on the site that provides a history of WDWMagic? I looked around a little, but didn't see anything. I would love to know what goes into building a site such as this, and I'm sure that there are some very entertaining stories to be told as well.

As for the stories, I've been here for nine years. Here are the general themes as best as I can remember them:

Early 2000s - Old attractions vs. New attractions, Eisner stinks vs. Disney is a Business, "D-Troops", IASW wars, "Calling All Ryans" - the first major random chat thread, Mission:Space hype, Monorail Expansion, mAeLStRoM RoCks!

Mid 2000s - Expedition:Everest hype, Points for posts and Woody13 - the guy with the walking spider avatar and a bunch of (requested) negative points, Pixar Rules vs. Pixar is overrunning the parks, Picture and Game threads expand, DisneyQuest closing, Movies based on MK attractions.

Late 2000s - Old attractions vs. New attractions, Dining Plan (Free Dining! vs. Menu contraction due to $@#% free dining), The Wand, The Adventurer's Club, "Wal-marting".

There's always been crazy rumors by questionable posters, but there's always been solid information from reliable posters and the site owner. There's also always been lively, reasonably moderated, interesting debate.

Thanks! I was just reading your trip reports last night. I love the concept of the one-on-one time with your kids. My two boys are five years apart, and we're having a girl that will be four years younger than #2, so I was thinking of maybe bringing each of them for their 12th birthday.

Somewhere, there should be room for the Hype of What Mission:Space will be, "Save the Carousel of Progress, Timekeeper, and Wonders of Life Pavilion Campaigns," (with mixed success) "Symbiosis vs Soarin," Gary's 40th Birthday thread, The Hat, Fix the Yeti, and last for now, but not least, "Look at me - I am essential to this website - and now I am banned" posters of the past decade.
