Hilton Head ?

At Hilton Head, do they check room keys or anything to use the amenities? If one were staying in a studio...and had a day guest would the guest be able to go to the pool, etc...?

How tightly controlled is this resort? We've been to Yacht and Beach and know they check wrist bands, etc....is HHI anything like that?

We have stayed at Hilton Head 3 times now. It is very relaxed. There is a gate to get onto the island, but once on the island you do not have to produce a room card. The gate to the island is for cars. If you are walking onto the island there is no gate. If you go to the beach house a card is required to open the door. Enjoy your stay.

PS. If you plan to leave the resort make sure you know where you are going, especially at night. The nature of Hilton Head is that everything is out of sight. There is lush vegetation and not very much street lighting.

Does it matter if they check IDs? You know that resort amenities are intended for the use of registered guests only. You wouldn't simply ignore those rules, would you?

Doesn't seem right to have ineligible visitors taking up space at the pool or beach house...or lounge.

You're a very angry person tjkraz. You need to enjoy life a little more and complain about others a little less. I'm over the BLT thing, no matter the outcome, it's only a small slice of my life.
Rules are meant to be followed. I was simply asking a question, sometimes the cast members don't have all the answers. It depends on who you talk to sometimes, and if they feel like helping you out or not. I've called DVC services and been given 2 different answers to the same question. Same when you call for normal resort reservations. I do plan on calling HH about it, but they won't tell me all the little details of where things are. I don't want to tell someone they can visit there with me if they aren't allowed to do anything. That wouldn't be such a nice visit. I know which resort pools I can have day guests at in WDW, no problems. But HH is new to us.

Actually you were the one complaining about others in the prior discussion...all those ineligible lounge crashers ruining your trip.

Personally I find the entire thing thoroughly entertaining. No anger here.

Which Disney resort pools allow guests? NONE. ALL Disney resort pools are intended for the use of registered guests ONLY.

The only difference at a resort like Yacht and Beach is how thoroughly the abuse is policed.

Inviting a friend to join you at a Disney resort pool is no different than a BLT guest offering to hold the lounge door open for their friend who lives in Kissimmee or a fellow DVC member staying at another resort.

I hope you're appreciating the irony here.
