We badly needed a vacation, and Hilton Head Island had a studio open last minute. We just arrived.
Masks:
You're supposed to wear them everywhere on property minus the pool deck, including bike riding. They are not required at the Beach House except in Signals. In practice, most people seem to be walking around with them pulled down and then pull them up when they pass someone. We saw people sitting in chairs not wearing masks.
The Town of Hilton Head Island is going under a mask ordinance starting tonight at 11:59 pm where everyone over the age of two must wear masks in commercial establishments unless you have an underlying medical condition or you're consuming food or beverages.
Check-in:
They ask that one person check in. You wear the mask into the building.
Food:
Tide Me Over is open as usual. Signals at the Beach house is only open Friday-Sunday for some reason. The Shuffle Board court is closed and has a waiting area for Tide Me Over.
Gift Shop:
There is a CM outside the gift shop checking to ensure there aren't too many people inside. They open the door for you so you don't touch it. If it's open to capacity, you have to wait, and there's markers on the ground for social distancing. I had no issue getting in. I then bought a pair of sunglasses that was marked down from $20 to $6...and then used my AP discount on top of it.
Other: Grills are open, picnic tables are open.
