High School Musical pep rally reactions

We all know that Tomorrowland will be boosting a live HSM pep rally for the YOAMD. When we first heard it we might have cringed, we might have been happy, or we might have just not cared. i for one cringed. I had known that the songs had been a huge hit but I had not fully know how good they were. Supposedly they are ranked a perfect 10 on the website mp3 which is popular. Now 10s are hard to come across and for HSM to get one I am happy. I actually think that a few songs got 9.7 or 9.8 I dont remember. But with this news I am now anticipating the coming of this attraction a bit. I think that it will have many guests come and interact with it. Any thoughts on this?

I personally dont get it. I have no idea why HSM became such a big thing, I hadnt even heard of it before a little while ago. But I guess it doesnt matter much, as long as the majority of the public likes it, its going to happen.

I still say its dumb though.... :lookaroun

Yea, MGM seemed more appropriate for this. But atleast its utilizing something that wasnt used for years, so thats a plus. But I really truthfully dont care, I dont know if Im even gonna go bother to see it. Even if it doesnt fit in to Tland.

get out of tommorowland! It should have been in Disney Studios..

I agree. I just don't understand the need to put this in MK. Studios is in much greater need for an audience draw, and both this and Laugh Floor would fit more there, and they both seem to be good bursts for temporary attendance. HSM will likely have a great, short run. It will lose its popularity fairly quickly by attraction standpoints (why it is in a more temporary location), but I think it will be a fairly large draw while it is going. This all just seems like sending a birthday package to the wrong address.

Doesn't bother me much. Unless it turns out to be something unbelieveably phenomenal and surpass any realistic expectations, it will run its course over the next year and then become history. No harm done. It'll likely be fun for its target audience and their family members and may bring some fun and excitement to Tomorrowland. Thematically, I just pass it off as a daily Magic Music Day event ;)

The Studios has enough shows. If HSM were to go there that would bring up the list to 10..and 4 rides?

Look..let's be greatful it's this HSM..which I haven't seen as of yet...they could have had "From Justin to Kelly Beachparty":lookaroun considering they'd have to pay 20th Century/American Idol's ownership rights and slap it in the studios. Talk about a migrane in Entertainment. Although it's nice to see that theater in Tommorowland is being used for the year rather than for events and meet & greets.

It is a good thing.

Kids like it.

It's the new Grease.

Can't blame for Disney going with it.

It will be over in a year once the trend slows down.

But for now, it's good.

Get over it

And maybe this will show Disney that musicals are good and that they need to make an animated musical reminiscent of the Beauty and the beast, Lion King era.

This is probably Disney Channel's most successful movie yet, even surpassing the Cheetah Girls' records. They even had to remove the film from the iTunes server because it was being downloaded so much for such a *low* price. Being that this is Disney, we can expect that they will squeeze every penny out of this franchise until it is flat as a pancake.

I am just happy to see the theater used for something other than the occasional special event that is attended only by the people putting on the event. There is something about an unused facility that really bugs me, WOL's current status is making me insane.

I haven't seen HSM, nor do I intend to, but it's success in unquestionable so I have no doubt that this show will be packed for quite some time.

I completely agree with you. This would have been a perfect chance to get more people over there. And it would have fit in with the theme. My kids will want to see it where ever it is, but Tomorrowland, I just don't get it.
