High School Musical 2: Pep Rally?

It seems as though Disney's California Adventure is getting an updated version of the pep rally:

From Press Release:inspired by the sequel, a brand new High School Musical 2: School’s Out! show will spring to life in Disney’s California Adventure beginning Saturday, August 18.

"We've seen the amazing popularity of High School Musical firsthand as our guests enthusiastically participate in the Pep Rally," said Ed Grier, President of the Disneyland Resort. "Needless to say, High School Musical 2 now brings new opportunities for our guests to further engage in the High School Musical phenomenon.”

Will Disney-MGM Studios get the update as well?

I'd assume so but you never know. I'm not all that fond of it to begin with, but it'd be nice to hear something different, lol!

I have heard that they were planning to update our show to include the new music from the movie. There was also talk of an A show and a B show with two different casts.

I wonder if the change in shows will be made when the show settles down in a permanent location as was rumored not to long ago.

There is a show that coincides with the movie at DCA? Are the movie actors in the show or are they traditional cast members? Just curious, because that movie was filmed in my town. I had actually never heard about the movie before that. :snore:

No, just reglar cast members. I'm not that big on High School Musical either , but i thought some fourm members would like to know about the change.

The plot of the new High School Musical 2 movie, coming out in August, revolves around the kids belonging to/working at a country club during their summer break. Hence the name.

Yeah, I know. I'm just saying it's funny how both the show and new movie is about celebrating about the beginning of Summer, yet the kids are going back to school.

I definatly think they should update the pep rally to go with the second movie.
