Hi
I have an upcoming vacation to Florida that I am very much looking forward to
Our Party consists of 9 people and we are staying in the Yacht club. It is our first trip to the Yacht club and it looks really nice
We live in the United Kingdom , we have already bought Disney tickets ; but unfortunately in the UK the only Universal tickets you can really buy are two week tickets but we don’t want tickets that long
So , our strategy is to buy one day passes actually at the Universal gates. However , I’m a bit worried that they might sell out by then , especially if you have reduced capacity because of covid
So, my question is , if I attend Universal Orlando on May21 or May 22 this year, can I buy tickets on the gate or do I need to pre book them In case they sell out by then
Any info would be highly appreciated , if I can’t visit Universal on my vacation because of sold out tickets it would totally downgrade my vacation
Many thanks !!!!!

Universal rarely reaches capacity. You will have no problem buying them at the gate.

I haven't been paying close attention but I don't recall hearing Uni reaching max capacity outside of maybe New Year's Eve or similarly _really_ big days.
Have you tried asking Uni themselves? I understand if you just end up with a clerk trying to give you the hard sell on whatever that pitch is, but might be worth at try.
also two weeks at uni is like, wat.
even if you grind up harry potter books and snort them that's a lot of uni, not hating on Uni but seriously that's a lot for either Just Uni or Just Disney

It is common for UK visitors to come over for two weeks or longer and use Universal as a base to do Orlando vacations. What they pay for their two week ticket is much less than what I can get it as it is not for sale stateside.
I know a handful that do it on a yearly or more frequent basis. The airfare is often the big expense.

Interesting
I guess that makes sense, gives them a bit of leverage for the UK crowd to make Uni where you're staying, keeps them from getting locked into WDW.
