I would apprecitae any help I can get. My wife and I are taking a trip to europe in late March early April. We are starting in Switzerland, then to Germany and on to France and end in England. We only really planned one day and one night at DLP. Is that enough time?
Also, where should we stay, we are budget conscience and didn't know if we should stay at a Disney Hotel or maybe at an offsite hotel.
Lastly, is there a good website with lots of info on DLP. The actual Disney DLP site and online broucure didn't seem very helpful.

any help is appreciated!!!

dlpinfo.com is a good site.

I think that hotels outside of DLP would be cheaper, but DLP has some beautiful hotels. I think there are pics of them on the above website, and I also have in-room pictures from the Sequoia Lodge on my site (in sig; they were taken by a friend as I've never been to DLP).

DLP has two parks, Disneyland and the Studios. Their studios are kind of like ours, ie: half-day park (this even coming from my friend who has been there and never to an American park). I personally would want to spend a whole day at Disneyland and maybe skip the studios.

we are staying at the holiday inn @disneyland paris which is an offical non site disney hotel about 2 miles from the park with free shuttle buses.
its half the price of the disney hotels and rated as well as the disney hotel(4 stars)

it's worth noting that the walt disney studios park always closes much earlier than the disneyland park. with a one day ticket you can enter the park 3 hours before it closes.

so if you only had one day you can spend most of your day in one park and then switch for the last 3 hours to the second. it depends on what you want to do as to which park you should visit.

We found the studios can easily be done in about 4-5 hours however the show times never allow for this so you find your self going on rides again just killing time before the next show.
i highly recommend the cinemagique and lights moteurs action shows though as they are both very good.

the disneyland park is the largest "magic kingdom" style park around the world (or so i'm told) and is so decortaive it is unbelievable. the rides are pretty much the classic disney rides but as they are some of the most recent versions they are the best. in my opinion. so it depends what sort of rides / shows you want as to which park to visit for the loger time. note you should check the show times for the studios as many shows finish early.

as far as hotels go disney hotel cheyenne is very nice and highly themed hotel and is one of the cheapest on property. i cant really comment on staying off property as i have never done it.

hope you enjoy your trip

If your only staying for one day then you should look at all the attractions before hand and decide what you want to do.

I stayed for 3 days in Feb. We basically took one park per day and spent the last day re-doing rides. It was deadly quiet so we could do nearly all the attractions but I think its a little busier in April. That said, my brother went for just a day and he got through a good few attractions in the MK.

I've not stayed in an offsite hotel but I've heard good things about the ones close by. Both parks are VERY close to each other so traveling between them won't be an issue. I have stayed in both the DisneyLand hotel - fantastic location (right outside the gates of the parks), very nice but expensive, and the Sequoia lodge which was also brilliant.

I don't know if there are any DLP sites out there or not but If you have any questions feel free to PM me and I'll answer what I can.
