Help with THEROSTAT Telkonet Touch Combo Thermostat....Hack?

Hoping someone has found a hack to break into the Telkonet Touch Combo Thermostat? Looks like a newer thermostat and would like to now how to break in to lower the temp below 68 degrees. Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. 9 days until we arrive at Disney.

Are the thermostats ones that will shut off heating/air during the night when there is no movement detected after a period of time? Those make me crazy because my sleep is interrupted every night when I have to get up to turn the dang thing down!

If they ARE the type to shut off, is there a hack to avoid it? I seem to recall mention of using a balloon somewhere, but then someone said that no longer worked?

I’ve seen three different thermostats in Disney resort rooms within the past year. I just look up which ever one it is when I get there and do the override. You’re not going to know for sure until you check into your room.

We've used the hack method, but also we have called the front desk before and asked for the thermostat be set for a lower temp and for the fan to stay in the on setting. The general term is called VIP mode.
