Hi,
We're travelling from Australia to visit WDW in Sept 2014.
We're have never been to a disney park, so I really need help choosing where to book. We have two kids 4 & 7 plus parents & grandparents.
So my question is, what restaurant is a must to visit?

A good first browse is to window-shop the Menu section at Debs' AllEars.net:
http://allears.net/dining/location
There are a LOT of different cuisines and atmospheres at a LOT of different prices, both at the parks and the resorts, so most of us wouldn't even know where to begin with that question.

(And even I haven't been to Be Our Guest yet.)

Thanks Eric!!
I know there are plenty to choose from but surely people have their favourites??
We're hoping to be on the dining plan.

well, while i like zurgandfriend's reply, there are also some that are kid directed that he didn't mention- so it depends on whether you are aiming for adult pleasing meals and hand the kids an iPad or kid pleasing meals.

if it's kids night, whispering canyon cafe is a must. sci fi is also appreciated by the kids because they get to sit in cars (even though you have to explain what a drive in was), and if your children include a girl, Cinderella's Royal table is a super plus. Be Our Guest is a hit with the kids whether boy or girl, although REALLY hard to get. i was online at 6 am on my 180 and tried to get it for 9 days later and couldn't get it.

as per zurg, the kids do love biergarten because of the entertainment, and chef mickey is a MUST. that way you don't have to stand in line for an hour to meet the most important characters. you are eating for that hour and they come to you! if your kids prefer winnie the pooh to mickey and friends, try crystal palace, food at both places about the same.

if you plan to go to downtown disney, the kids love t-rex. you will too, just a different experience. who else has eaten with a dinosaur roaring behind your back or a meteor shower going on overhead?

for quick service in MK, consider cosmic ray's and sit in the room with Sunny Eclipse, our kids love him, and the food is decent, not great, but decent, and the kids will enjoy.

for quick service in epcot, try sunshine seasons, they have the best variety of any quick serve on property IMHO, will please adults and kids alike.
