Cabana's is definitely still open. I think you'll definitely enjoy it. But be aware that dinner is not necessarily the buffet that you're thinking of. From the DCL website:
Notice that dinner is a 4-course meal, just like in the rotational restaurants. There will be "casual dining specials", but it's not the typical buffet that they serve at breakfast and lunch.

Dinner times at Cabanas vary daily, so please check the Personal Navigator—the Disney Cruise Line daily newsletter detailing all there is to see and do—for specific dates and times while onboard
If you're looking to dine under the stars and enjoy the warm night breezes during dinner, or perhaps you just prefer a more casual setting inside with an ocean view, you're invited to dine at Cabanas in place of a Main Dining restaurant any night of your cruise.
Boasting a selection of tantalizing favorites, Cabanas offers fine food for everyone in your family during a delightful 4-course meal. Although subject to change, dinnertime menu items include signature dishes from the Main Dining restaurants and casual dining specials.
