Just another update and another question. I called the fairytale weddings place and the woman I spoke with told me that I can do the rose garden proposal but I have to just request it the day of at guest relations and see if it is available. I don't want to risk that not being available, so I would like to contact guest relations beforehand, ie. now. Does anyone know if there is a phone number to the Magic Kingdom directly? Maybe specifically guest relations. I can't find either one for the life of me.

I believe if you call 407-939-6244, that will get you to guest services. Good luck..and keep us posted!

I just called that number to no avail. The woman I spoke with their told me to call the Fairytale Weddings people and that guest relations doesn't take phone calls because they are bust dealing with people in the park. I then told her I had already spoke with them and the woman I spoke with there said to talk to MK guest relations.

So at that point she put me on hold and she called "there" (I'm assuming guest relations). When she came back on the line she told me that they said they don't deal with that. So I guess I will call the Disney Florist and hope that they can answer me. I don't really want a "package" but maybe they can help me.

I'm getting tired of getting the run-around. Every number I call I am told to call somewhere else.

JUST DO IT!

Take your woman by the hair, drag her down Main Street USA to you location and say,

"Look woman, I love you and you love me! We are in the place where dreams come true
so make my dreams come true and be my woman, and we will live happily ever after!"

LOL Just kidding here's an idea make your days up to your trip a story about you and her, stopping the story at strategic points to keep her in suspense, then figure out how your story will end and where and tell her the rest of the story with the BIG ending in the spot where you wanted to propose in the beginning, the Rose Garden! After she sheds tears of joy and you place the ring on her finger, take her face in your hands and tell her you arranged a special surprise for her tonight and enjoy the fireworks in your own little world together and live happily ever after!!!!:sohappy:

What a pain...sorry about that! :brick:

When is the trip? Even if you don't have the garden "reserved", I have noticed that, no matter how crazy the crowds are in the parks, the rose garden is usually fairly empty and quite. We head back there each time we go and I think we've only encountered others in that space once or twice. Best time is after the fireworks and Spectro when the crowds are on their way out...the boat dock down there is fairly secluded. Good luck...keep us posted!

Well now that we're back I can tell the story. On Saturday night we watched SpectroMagic which was miserable due to incredibly rude people, but we toughed it out and moved to the Rose Garden to watch Wishes. During SpectroMagic I found a photopass photographer and asked if he would be there (in the rose garden) after wishes because I was going to propose then. He told me he would and everything was set.

After wishes we walked up to where the photographer was and he was gone, but there were two photopass girls there instead. So I told my other half I wanted to take a picture, to which she refused. Finally after some convincing she walked over there with me. As soon as we got up there I said, "Wishes do come true. Will you marry me?" And hit one knee. As soon as that happened she started crying her eyes out, which is incredible. Finally she said yes after I felt like I was on one knee for an hour. The added benefit was there was a HUGE crowd cheering and clapping. It was simple but she said it was perfect.
-In the Rose Garden and roses are her favorite flower
-With pictures (31)
-huge audience
-after wishes
-perfect ring

After worrying so much about huge plans and perfection, I realized that sometimes perfection only requires some thoughtfulness.

I owe a huge thanks to everyone that helped me with this. I will post pictures as soon as I get our PhotoPass CD which I ordered just now!

Congrats to both of you & best wishes on your next adventure! Make it a point to stop back in the rose garden during each of your return visits and just remember that night. We do that each time and it's a cool moment...next month we go with our 7 month old daughter and can take her back to the spot where it all began!

Also - a bit of "anniversary advice" - each year, my wife and I get each other a little something that ties into that traditional anniversary gift list. The fourth anniversary is "fruit & flowers". We have a picture from the rose garden the night I proposed of one of the rose bushes & the hybrid is called "Perfect Moment". I was able to find a Perfect Moment rose bush online at Jackson & Perkins and ordered that as a part of her gift. It's now planted in our garden and kind of a cool reminder of that night. Just a little helpful hint for you...guys have to stick together on this kind of stuf!! :ROFLOL:

Congrats! :sohappy:
