Help With Anniversary Plans Please!

Greetings all.

If there's one thing I don't know about WDW, it's the spas! My wife and I are going to be seeing WDW soon, but we're not going to step foot in any park (maybe Typhoon Lagoon), but instead we're planning to enjoy the spas at WDW.

Can anyone tell me the difference between the Grand Floridian spa and the new one at Saratoga?

If you have any other suggestions, I'd appreciate it!

We're doing dinner at the California Kitchen during the fireworks. Probably going to rent the mouse boats too.

If you can add anything, please do!

I have not been to the Spas, but I hear they are great and have longed to try them as well. If you are staying on the property make sure you tell guest relations that you are celebrating your anniversary. We had balloons, a small cake and a autographed picture of Mickey himself °o°. We received a special chocolate card that said happy anniversary at the California Grill and a then we had a chocolate airbrushed dessert plate at the Yacht Club Steakhouse. Here is a link to the Grand Floridian and Saratoga Spring Spa website. I hope you have a wonderful time!

Enjoy!

Couldn't find any direct comparison reviews....

Hmmm.., the Floridian or the Saratoga?....What a good problem to have!...I've heard good things about both!....The Saratoga is newer, ....styled with a horse theme and the late 1800's feel (New York Country retreats)....

I too want to surprise my wife with a spa treatment....Although i couldn't find a specific review comparing them to one another, nor any posts from people that have gone to both. I finally choose the Floridian because:

1. Close to our Polynesian resort,
2. Only 10 min. by boat from MK (I could easily slip it in as a break)
3. Great restaurants to dine romantically (no on-site restuarant for the Saratoga, although I guess DTD restaurants are accessable)...

Victoria & Albert's at the Floridian sounds like a really romatic fine-dining place if that's your thing....Narcoossee's sounds neat...The Floridian was a honeymoon special program for couples...a massage in romantic environment, scented candles and everything....with a massage class to learn some techniques for home;) !

HOPE your anniversary is special!!..And BTW, what is more cooler than a gift of massage and spa treatment...smart idea, and good for you!
