Help with a friend

I was just talking with a dear friend from Wisconsin about all the new changes coming up at WDW, specifically the Magic+ stuff. I think it must have scared him somewhat, and now he is saying he'll never go back and is actually looking at other vacation destinations. What can I say to convince him not to abandon his love of WDW?

Did you tell him about the new FLE expansion and other additions in the works? (Star Wars Land, Avatarland)?

Actually he was surprised that Avatarland was not open already because he had heard me talking about it a couple of years ago. He was pretty disappointed when I told him that it was still in the planning stage. I hate to see him that down about a place we all love.

I think the whole reserving fast passes thing really did him in. He doesn't even make ADR's

Actually he's as crazy as the rest of us and has been a disney fan for as long as I've known him. Go figure....

I cannot believe you did this. It is your right - nay, your duty! - to spread the magic and make sure everyone loves Disney.

Nemo, you are turning into quite the disappointment.

No...your friend's way of thinking is failing him. I just don't get why people are so quick to give up on something before knowing all the details. Many people shunned the idea of FLE before it opened. Many people reject the idea of Avatarland coming to DAK. Now this. People need to SEE something first before deciding if it's for them or not. I would suggest you talk to your friend about planning a trip to a DisneyParks AFTER MyMagic+ has been implemented, and see how it works. Then, they can make a decision based upon first-hand experience.
I don't get why some people quit so easily. One of my co-workers & her family spends their vacations down near the Ft. Lauderdale area of southeast Fla. o_O They go EVERY year for weeks at a time. How can they be so close to the magic and not at least try it again? Some people I just cannot understand. You see one beach, you've seen 'em all.

We have friends who live about a half hour from WDW (Cleremont), and they haven't been there since they closed Mr. Toad. That's pretty extreme if you ask me.

This so-called "friend" seems like a bum to me. You should really start making new friends. I'm always here if you need one.

Sheesh - some people must be wired wrong or something!
