Help...Water Parks question

I have a 32 year old I want to take to one of the water parks. Which is better, Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Brach for little ones? We are going in November, are they both open? Thanks a ton!

P.S....he loves Sharks

I love them both but I'll say Typhoon Lagoon, especially if he like sharks. They have a shark tank you can swim through (on top of actually...). If you don't have the nerves then you can watch the sharks from the side.

We are going in November as well. However, last time we checked, only Blizzard Beach was open. The Disney site was indicating that Typhoon Lagoon was going to be down for refurb, last time we checked at least.
But, who knows, this may have changed since then. I know that the hours of operation changed since we booked our ADRs. That caused a flurry of last minute re-arranging.

:ROFLOL: Sorry a "3" year old was on my computer with sticky fingers and the numbers stick together as well! It also happens when I put in my email address!

Thanks a bunch...I will have to do some investigating about typhoon lagoon.

Yes, if he likes aquatic life, the viewing area at Shark Reef should be fun for him. Both parks have good areas for little ones to get wet. What I like best about Typhoon Lagoon is that there is a lot more tree coverage so you can escape from the sun for a bit. Blizzard Beach gives a new meaning to brightness with all that white on a sunny day. You can just hear the skin sizzling.

I would think that BB would be a better option for the younger crowd. I'm assuming at 3 years old he is not a very strong swimmer. That eliminates swimming through the shark reef (although, yes, he can observe it). TL has a massively strong wave pool, even in the shallow end, it still packs a punch. BB has the "bobbing waves", much more gentle and "kid friendly". From what I observed it also has a better/bigger kiddie area, with the "floating ice" that kids seem to love. It also has a longer lazy river than TL. Plus, you guys can ride up on the gondola (so long as he's not afraid of heights) and then walk back down. It seems that there would be more for him to do there...but that's just my two cents  .

Thanks everyone, it looks like Blizzard Beach simply because of rehabs...
FYI...I found this in my search

Typhoon Lagoon will be closed for Winter rehab October 28, 2007 through January 5, 2008

Blizzard Beach will be closed for Winter rehab January 6 through March 8, 2008

Thanks again!

3 is pretty small for the key attractions at either place. BB has a pretty good kiddie playarea, but really comes into its own for ages about 7-9.. as they have a good play area for that age.

Both have a wave pool which is a big hit with my youngest (now 4). She likes that the best.

Of course Typhoon Lagoon is my favorite, but we always do BB at least once during our summer trips. They do have life vests for the little ones and some of the slides will have height restrictions. However the childrens areas at both parks have plenty for the 3 year old to do, so have fun. Don't miss teamboat springs.

Sweetale is 100 % accurate. The wave pool at TL is too much for a 3 year old IMHO. While the lazy rivers are about the same the familt raft ride at BB is much longer and the kiddie area is much better at BB then TL. I think the chair lift at BB may have a height requirement but I am not 100 % sure on this. My recomendation would be for BB.

That was weird...I wonder why your quote showed the source file instead of the quote itself?
