Help! Universal or No?

Ok first of all, I'm driving myself absolutely crazy. I keep changing my mind on only a 2 night one day stay!!! Shouldn't be a huge deal right? Well unfortunately I have made it one.

So, we will be arriving on Thanksgiving evening, have all a Black Friday for a park etc, and then leave on Saturday for a 7 night cruise. Then we have 4 nights at WDW.

Right now I was planning on doing a full day of Epcot on Black Friday (have reservations at the Swan). Then I worried about crowds and thought maybe should do a resort day.
Now, after talking to a neighbor, I'm thinking of replacing the pre cruise Disney stuff with a day at Universal/IoA. Bonus- the Grinch breakfast.

Input please!!!

I agree- do one Uni park. Last time we went Thanksgiving weekend it was crazy busy, then on Sunday and the following week it was DEAD. it was a PERFECT time to go! Have fun, you can't go wrong either way, but beware, once the Uni bug bites, you'll want more ;)

BTW- "drinking" or "driving" yourself crazy LOL! same thing

Ha ha ha. I didn't even realize the typo until you said it. I'm almost to that point though ;)

We will be in WDW 12/3-12/7 so hopefully low crowds there. I'm a little disappointed that after reading more on Universal, the holiday stuff doesn't start until 12/3.

So my choices are -
1. Royal Pacific resort 11/24-11/26- try to fit both parks. With the express pass will it be manageable?

2. Keep my reservation at the Swan
2a. Epcot 11/25
2b. Resort activity day.

My son recently turned 6, starting 1st grade in the fall, and we just started reading Harry Potter. I know he would love either, but it's a tough decision!

you would most likely still need the park to park option, but staying at royal pacific you get the early entry also

Do you know if the parks will be decorated? Or does everything start 12/3?
I haven't been to Universal since before Harry Potter. I would love to just wait and do it's own trip in 2017, but I just don't see where we have time. So it's now or hold off another 2 years.
