Help to save my holiday please!!!

So basically the stupid idiots who we booked our holiday with (First Choice) told us that when booking through them if we stayed on Disney property then our park tickets were included in the price.

Today, 8 days before we go away, I find out this isn't true and that we may need to buy them! We have argued for that the tickets were mis-sold to us, and they will give us a final verdict tomorrow!

So basically, I would really appreciate it if you guys would be able to give tips on where I can quickly and cheaply buy tickets online if they don't give us anything! I need a 5 day ticket and don't need park hopper! I'm gonna have a good look myself but if any of you guys could give me tips then please help!

This is meant to be my first time at the park and I've spent months planning it - so just want it to go ahead!!

Thanks xx

You may be able to save a few dollars by buying them online or off property, but I don't think its worth the potential stress of possibly buying counterfeit tickets or not having them shipped to you in time. When you arrive at your WDW resort, I would suggest buying them at the concierge counter and having the CM put the tickets onto your key to the world card. It will be quick and stress free!

Enjoy your first trip to the world!

Given that you are only 8 days out and the ticket you want your best bet is probably going to be buying them at Disney. There is simply not enough time to have them shipped to you. Both Maple Leaf and Uncover Tourist offer a pickup option if you have a rental car but, the small savings would be eclipsed if you had to take a cab there.

You can always buy the tickets at the park enterances. In 8 days? Probably not very crowded and take you about 10 minutes at the ticket counter.

It doesn't say in the contract, however, we were explicitly told by more than one person that we did not need to purchase park tickets separately.

If they don't give us the tickets tomorrow then we'll just buy them when we are there I think! Not what I want to happen but no way I'll let it spoil our hols!

Just a heads up as someone who also lives in the UK if you are going for over a week I'm pretty sure our 14 day ultimate tickets which are exclusive to the UK are a significantly better deal for us considering the poor exchange rate you can get them from Disney direct for £220 each which in my opinion is a bargain!

Unfortunately there really isn't anywhere to get deep discounted Disney tickets legitimately. Even the discounts available through great places like Maple Leaf and Undercover Tourist are very minimal (think $10 or less over Disney prices). No one expressly said it so it's worth noting that buying any tickets that are deeply discounted is a very bad idea, the strong likelihood is that the tickets won't work.

Good luck getting them through the travel agency. A 5 day Magic Your Way ticket costs about $260 for an adult, $240 child (3-9).

We've booked with First Choice for years because we got to trust them and feel safe with them and we wouldn't book with anyone else. However since Thomson took them over there seem to be more and more problems coming up with them.
My family recently went away and nearly got sent away because First Choice had messed up something on their flight tickets and they were then told that they would have to pay to rectify the error.
After explaining the situation they solved the issue free of charge and apologised.
So even though there have been issues, they seem to be solving them effectively.
I hope it all works out for you because First Choice are a really good company :)

Having witnessed a family get rejected at the front gate because they bought "discounted" tickets off property which weren't valid anymore, all I can say is "Don't worry about trying to save a few bucks, buy your tickets from Disney directly"

Thank you so much everyone! I find out today what First Choice are going to do, but if they're not going to give us any tickets then we'll probs just buy them at disney!

Thanks again!

I agree with the 14 day ultimate being the best value.

I always get tickets either from "attraction tickets direct" or "florida tix", both seem to be the cheapest i've found and have fast delivery. Although just check you would get them in time before you order. I'm sure you can get the 5 day park passes from them as well.

I've had a few issues with First Choice myself, but from next year they are starting to sell all inclusive only holidays so they will be removed from the picture completely then.

Good Luck and make sure to relax and enjoy yourself!!

Get your tickets at the gate, we always get ours at the gate and add the water park option, but not the hopper option, it seems to work out cheaper with the exchange rate in buying the tickets over there instead of using agents in the UK.

We have used undercover tourist for our past few trips and they are great. If you subscribe to the mousesavers newsletter, there is a link that will save you even more. I would highly recommend them. I think I have a copy of the newsletter. If you want me to email it to you, just pm me and I'll forward it. Have fun on your trip!
