Hello,

I've just downloaded mirc, and want to get started on seeing the content available for download.

I have managed to do the following so far:-

1) Get into the Disney Central chat channel
2) Type in !videos
3) Enter into another chat room
4) Type in dir to bring up a list of the available files
5) The available folder are things like WALT DISNEY WORLD DISNEYLAND etc.

I want to know how to access the content of these folders. What is the exact command??

I have consulted the Disney Central homepage which says I need to type in:-

cd (((WALT DISNEY WORLD)))

I keep trying it, but nothing happens :(

I'd really appreciate some guidance.

Thanks

I'm now running it with Invision, which makes life a lot easier, it gives you a point and click environment to work in. You only have to type !list, it then produces the list, you click on the list you want, it then lists the directories in that list, you click the directory you want, click the file you want then click add to queue. No more cd, dir etc :D

Also, you don't have the thirty second time out problem.

Here is a URL from where you can download Invision:

Invision Download

It is for version 6.12 of IRC - make sure you have this version, otherwise it won't work.

When I added it to my IRC, it initially wiped the connection information, but it is easy enough to input again. The instructions on the Disney Central website cover it.

Disney Central Website

Stick with it, you are almost there. It will be worth it.

I currently have IR version 6.14, and cannot find version 6.12, which you need for 'Invision'.

Therefore, can you help me with the command I need to enter to retrieve the files stored in the various folders, such as WALT DISNEY WORLD, etc.

Thanks

I find the fact that invision stops you being disconnected after thirty seconds is great. Some of the listings take more than thirty seconds to read.

I put off installing it as I'd eventually got the hand of the standard version. Then I installed Invision and it made a big mess of everything - because it was for a different version of IRC. Once I got everything in sync I've not looked back.

Thanks, I've got that sussed, almost!!

I'm in two queues, as I've reqested Resort TV and Philharmagic.

Do I have to stay logged on until I get them, as I've been logged on for ages, and they don't appear to be coming!! In fact, there's a few people in the queue before me.

I'm on auto-accept of files, if that makes any difference.

Thanks :D

You seem to be on top of things now - well done.

Yes, you have to stay online so you are ready when you get to the front of the queue. Technically, you can come offline then back on, as long as you make it in time before the download starts. But as there is no real way to know how long this would be, it's a bit of a risk.
